Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I got this in a newsletter form Cecelia Ahern and will just post it here in case I can make someone happy with it. Lori, I think this is the right place, if not please can you put it in the correct place?

As I am living in Dublin for now, it is kind of funny and weird for me that Dublin, her hometown, isn't mentioned.
Next post is a copy of the mail.

Jeane, this place is as good as any to post. I havent read anything by her. But hopefully this is helpful to anyone here who is a fan :)

Carol I only read her first book PS I Love You. I thought it was a good novel for the first try. I think they made a movie out of it. Also her father was the Prime Minister Of Ireland.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Thank Lori!
Carol, they did make a movie of PS I love you, different than the book but I thought they were both really good. I enjoyed them both.

Before moving to Dulin, Ireland I read the day before the flight Thanks for the Memories. I loved the book because i thought it was such an original concept. Loved it because it took for a part place in Dublin and around and was moving there and loved it ebcause I thought the story was so beautiful.

I liked the book also. I was impressed with it being her first book and all.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Yes, very impressing. I would love to try her others too. As the second one I read was for me so good too.

Carol Time for a trip to the old library to see what it will cough up. Sometimes they have the books sometimes they never heard of them.

Nikki (tikki_nik2) | 28 comments I've read a few of them. I bought PS I love you for my best mate for Christmas after her mum died of cancer as I felt it was such a touching novel. She loved it, and now we've got into the habit of buying each other a book each Christmas - sometimes a Cecilia one. I really enjoyed PS I Love You and also Thanks for the Memories. If you could see me now was ok but I found it harder to get into. Her other books I am yet to read are The Gift, A place called here, The book of tomorrow and Where rainbows end.

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments Nikki, for now I jsut read PS I love you, which made me cry as i read it when my boyfriend was working on a cruiseship for 4 months somewhere around America and I was in Belgium. Thanks for the memories was really great too, so original. Everytime I see the vikings pass around Trinity college in Dublin centre I ahve to think about the book! I lvoed them both and hope to read her others soon!

Shelly Mourning Hello all,
I am a huge fan of Cecelia. I've read PS I Love You, Thanks for the Memories and Love, Rosie. I think I would say Thanks for the Memories was my least favorite, just because I felt it was a little slow at times. Love, Rosie is written in a series of letters, emails and IMs which I thought was really cool!

Jeane (icegini) | 4891 comments I think together with PS I love you, Thanks for the memories is my second favourite. I loved the book.
