Emma, Have you in the meantime had time to read the rest of Stieg Larrson's books, Girl who Played with Fire and Girl who Kicked a Hornets Nest??

Yes it is number 21 on my list :-)

I was actually going to give the book up as it just dragged on and on, and Lauren actually convinced me to keep going. The book did improve and you get to learn more about the interesting character of Lisbeth Salander, but in no way did I think the hype was justified with this book. It was an average story line with an even average writing style, which at times bored me to tears.

35. Diana Gabaldon - Cross Stitch - Book 1 of The Outlander Series.

(8.5 out of 10)

I read half of this in 2009 as this is quite a long book, I was in the mood for this kind of book again so decided to finish it.Great read and lots of history, looking forward to reading the next book.

I enjoyed the first half of this book and although some people said it was slow I enjoyed the suspense, it just seemed to drag on forever though towards the end and I really got bored with it which is a shame because I did enjoy the mystery of this book. So initially I would have give it an 8/10 but because of the slowness I give it a 6/10

Hi, yes I did and I felt much the same way about them, I was just curious of what you thought. I was one of the only people that thought the writing dragged a bit too much, but I did like Lisbeth, a lot! Anyway what did you think of Need? It's on my list and I don't want to read it first if its not good. Got a loooong list to go through!

Such a pity about The Historian! I hate it when I book starts so well and you're all excited about it, and then it just lets you down.

I might still check it out myself though, hopefully I'd feel a bit differently. I love a good mystery, and something a bit creepy :)

I hated it Sonette sorry. Carrie Jones Need is so similar to Twilight at one point I thought I had picked up the wrong book.It is basically Twilight but instead of vamps they are pixies, which by the way everyone seems fine to accept as the norm, which is just weird. The plot was silly and unrealistic. Ijust didnt get this book at all.

Hi Lauren, I would give The Historian a chance and see if you like it. I am not saying that I didnt enjoy the book, I did but it was just too slow.

What a beautiful story, also made me cry :-(

Oh the Book Thief is a wonderful story, I read that exact one you're showing above, loved it!
Also made me cry

Another excellent book in this fantastic series, Richelle has left me begiing for more yet again, and with another cliffhanger! Will say no more.
