Tess Makovesky (tess_makovesky) | 11 comments Hi, just wondering if anyone else is having a problem getting to their notifications. I get the little red square with a number in it next to the 'g' on my top bar, but when I click it doesn't load any messages or notifications, but sits there with a little wheelie thing going round and round, for hours if I let it. Is this something I'm doing wrong? Is there another place I can read my notifications? Any advice much appreciated! Thanks, Tess.

Tess, are you still experiencing this issue? Let me know and I'll look into this for you.

Sorry, been away and didn't spot your reply. Yes, sadly I am still having the same problem - now up to 10 notifications and I can't read any of them!! Thanks for your help.

Jaclyn (jaclyn_w) | 417 comments No problem! Do you experience the same problem in different browsers, e.g. Chrome, Firefox etc.?

Tess Makovesky (tess_makovesky) | 11 comments I don't have chrome but have just tried Firefox and it's working fine on there so may be a IE fault? I'm currently using IE10, if that helps! Thanks for your help.

Jaclyn (jaclyn_w) | 417 comments Thanks for that Tess!

There are a few things we can try to resolve this issue:

- deleting your cookies

- clearing your cache

- disabling the pop-up blocker

- updating your javascript.

- updating your browser.

Please note that IE will be becoming obsolete as time goes by, so it may be best to consider moving to a different browser before this happens and updates no longer work for it!

Tess Makovesky (tess_makovesky) | 11 comments Hi, thanks for the info. I updated to IE11 and that seemed to cure the problem. I'm very sad to hear that you will no longer be supporting IE as a browser - as I'm sure many other users will be. :(

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) I think she is saying Microsoft is replacing Internet Explorer with Spartan.

At any rate, hopefully goodreads will then support Project Spartan and still support IE for quite a while because not everyone will upgrade or not upgrade right away. (I have my doubts there will be much change other than a name and some tweaks to the design.)
