Chat/Banter/Review - June Read

Oh, yes, I remember those days. My little sister would bring something home from school and by the time it finally cycled through all 6 of us, she'd bring something else home! I never got so healthy as when I moved to my own apartment!

I hope you get better soon Janet!! Glad you're daughter is OK :)

And, Whhaaaaaat, there's a new thread already!!!! Well, we got our Internet fixed and I don't have to wait so long to connect anymore but I know I'll still be behind!

I'll start with the books I chose for people:) Such good choices everyone…and so many more to add to my TR list.
Brenda-You had some great choices and I loved The Rosary Girls so I had to pick The Skin Game…then you can tell me how it is:)
Freda-I love all the the Savich/Sherlock books. I started reading them years ago and sadly I can no longer remember if I read that one or not. But I know I loved all the ones I read, lol.
Kirsten-Thanks for some new options with your choices. I hope you have some free time next month because I picked a long one.
Ryan-I know you will go back to your series so I chose Dan Brown. Have you read him before?
Faouzia-No KIng from me:) although I do really like him. I think I will like this thread:)
Christine-Thaks for some new adds. BTW, Drop Dead Perfect is a giveaway right now.
Lisa-Lisa here from TN. Where are you? I have your book on my tr list so I want to hear what you think:)
Jean-You hit my soft spot…I love Robert Crais:)

Lisa from TN - I loved The Rosary Girls, too, and that's why I want to read another by Montanari. If it wins, or when it gets read, I'll let you know how it is!
Thanks all, but I feel even worse today. This cold has kicked in proper.. Hoping to feel better by tomorrow. Going to my parents' house for the weekend to celebrate the giver of this cold's birthday!!! She's fine now!!! Typical!

If it gets picked I can't wait to hear what you thought:)
Janet-Ugh…feel better.
Sophie-I loved The Scorpio Races. My head librarian told me to read it last year:)

I'll still vote though :~)
Do you need a tissue, Janet?

I really wanted to put a couple of repeats on for June but have just vowed to read like a machine and get through them this month if I can. There are so many books that I want to read that I picked a completely new list this month!
Thanks, Lisa. I read Shiver and wasn't particularly impressed (started out really well and then went downhill once the secret was out - boo) but I'm hoping that The Scorpio Races is better. It sounds like it should be good and they have it in stock at my local library so it's worth a look :)

New options as I have never heard of your choices…which is a good thing. I get to learn about new "for me" books:)

I didn't read Shiver so I can't compare. Even if it doesn't win give Scorpio Races a try.

Got it and I posted my pick for you.

Thanks…I really do need to get through some of my kindle books. I constantly get sidetracked by new library books.

Amber, thank you for picking for me. I have done your pick as well.
Just added my list, and I think great/tough choices.
Voted for everyone so far.

Oh, okay, the thing is... I go through my "to-read" list and start at the earliest books on my list and then pick the first "J", "U", "N", and "E" books. Never know what'll I get!

Your list was great, Sean. I had a really tough time picking as I could easily have read any of them! I was particularly torn between Those We Left Behind and Follow You Home. I really enjoyed The Magpies and have been meaning to follow it up with another Mark Edwards book for some time.

Looks like I will have to add the other Montanari books to my list. The pile just keeps getting bigger and bigger, lol.

That book looks excellent…I added it to my TR list:) Thanks for the link.

I posted my choice for you and also added some of your books to my TR list.

Posted a second list of my votes. Everyone on it voted for me earlier, either before I logged off yesterday and didn't get noticed until today or they voted today before I logged on.
There's only 2 votes.

Have Lisa Jackson through Net Galley, in fact most are Net Galley books, have 43 books to read for review.

Lisa,
again thanks, I think this PIFM list is a tough one, but at the moment Evil Games is winning !

Sean, OH MY. Your list was so difficult to decide! Not just the titles. The blurbs were enticing. The covers eye catching. A lot of those I would like to read, eventually.

I know huh? I suppose everyone is so excited about what you're going to choose for your list, they had ants in their pants. I was excited too, you sneaky tease. LOL

Freda, A lot of nonfiction today actually reads like fiction. I'd advise you not to just dismiss it out of hand.

PLEASE NOTE:
PIFM is meant to be FUN and not to be taken seriously. I would appreciate it if all participants just chilled and not get worked up about voting, who votes, who doesn't, etc. Please bear in mind that some will just want to vote, many don't come on everyday and most of us have time constraints. I just want a relaxed approach to it all and for you all to just enjoy the process! I'd really appreciate your courtesy in this matter. Thanks.
