I picture each of you as mystical walking librarians. :)

Though this book was inspired by Sleeping Beauty, it's not a strict re-telling. However, I hope each reader will get a sense of this fairytale as you tromp through the darker alleyways and lanes of a foggy Regency London, England and visit the dangerous docksides of the Thames River alongside my hero and heroine as they pursue a ruthless murderer.

My favorite scene of the original fairytale? The sleeping castle, with brambles growing all around it, and people lying on the floor having been enchanted asleep for a hundred years...and waiting in the shadows, the evil fairy who cast that vengeful spell.

My hope is that anyone who reads A Devilish Slumber experiences a similar eeriness that so imbues that wonderful fairytale.
