No, not the U2 band member, but a new reader that I just saw advertised somewhere. It combines a reader with a laptop (minimum functioning I guess) and clocks at just under $500. Looks like it will be released in February. What will they think of next? http://www.entourageedge.com/

you are right Carol, what will they think of next? Amazing and it's in colors too!
Carol and Gail:Thanks for sharing this, The Edge looks nice; I would only worry about the availability of ebooks on the format it takes, but perhaps that is ok. The tablet PC is a great companion to the e-reader.

Gail and Ann, I was telling my IT manager about this today (we were talking Black Friday and wish lists) and he said he's getting some indication that Apple might release a similar product in the spring. Now that would be worth waiting for, although I wouldn't get the first release because it's usually highly priced.
