Deanne | 209 comments Finally hit a reading wall. I need something new. I have already read, Riley Jenson, Night Huntress, The Breed, BDB, Merry Gentry and Anita Blake series just to name a few. I was hoping some one could offer something new and great to keep me going.
Thanks

Heather B (heatherbenson) What kinds of books do you like to read the most? And what age range?

Literary Dreamer | 3 comments Well...looking at your library you seem to have read all the books I have (and more... >_<") But there's a few I've wanted to try in the Paranormal area which look promising :
Night Rising (Vampire Babylon, #1)

Old Magic
by Marianne Curley

Threshold
by Caitlín R. Kiernan

Lara (elbe) | 39 comments Hey Deanne!

From looking at your list you may want to try:

2nds from FlibBity's recs:
The Hunger Games Trilogy (2/3 are out now)
[image error] Catching Fire (Hunger Games, #2) by Suzanne Collins
The Southern Vampire Series (The Sookie Stackhouse books - LOVE these)
Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris Living Dead in Dallas (Sookie Stackhouse, #2) by Charlaine Harris Club Dead (Sookie Stackhouse, #3) by Charlaine Harris Dead to the World (Sookie Stackhouse, #4) by Charlaine Harris Dead as a Doornail (Sookie Stackhouse, #5) by Charlaine Harris Definitely Dead (Sookie Stackhouse, #6) by Charlaine Harris All Together Dead (Sookie Stackhouse, #7) by Charlaine Harris [image error] Dead and Gone (Sookie Stackhouse, #9) by Charlaine Harris
To add to her list of recs:
Either of the series from Karen Marie Moning
The Highlander Series (Seem to be more along the lines of the BDB books - seperate stories, but I would recommend starting at Book 1 because each story references earlier books). I'm going through these now - I've heard they get even better after book 3
Beyond the Highland Mist (Highlander, #1) by Karen Marie Moning To Tame a Highland Warrior (Highlander, #2) by Karen Marie Moning The Highlander's Touch (Highlander, #3) by Karen Marie Moning Kiss of the Highlander (Highlander, #4) by Karen Marie Moning The Dark Highlander (Highlander, #5) by Karen Marie Moning The Immortal Highlander (Highlander, #6) by Karen Marie Moning Spell of the Highlander (Highlander, #7) by Karen Marie Moning
Her Fever Series- My FAVS for the time being! (Somewhat more along the Night Huntress Series - but the romance is more on the 'hot tension' thing than the actual 'love scenes' of Cat and Bones - if that's what you're into)
Darkfever (Fever, #1) by Karen Marie Moning Bloodfever (Fever, #2) by Karen Marie Moning Faefever (Fever, #3) by Karen Marie Moning Dreamfever (Fever, #4) by Karen Marie Moning

Let us know what you think!

Jenn (sportsgirlca) | 92 comments I'd suggest reading The Host by Stephenie Meyer next since it's just one book not part of a series.

I thought that there was going to be at least a book #2 after The Host....

I am on a bit of a YA kick right now. Some good ones that I've read recently are:

The Hollow Kingdom (The Hollow Kingdom Trilogy Book I) by Clare B. Dunkle Close Kin (The Hollow Kingdom Trilogy Book II) by Clare B. Dunkle Evermore (The Immortals, #1) by Alyson Noel Blue Moon (The Immortals, #2) by Alyson Noel [image error]

I saw an interview with Stephanie Meyer (one of the few she's done) and she said she thinks she is going to work on the sequel to the Host and not go back to Vamps for a while she is Vamped out right now. She said she loves the Host and sees it as a trilogy.
Who knows though....
