January (januaryf) Hi all,

I was wondering what you all do to track your ebook purchases? With the whole download-only thing, I'm a bit paranoid of losing the books, and forgetting where I bought them from. Are you doing anything to track your purchases with shelves or notes?

Thanks!
January

Kenny Chaffin (kennychaffin) | 44 comments I have a directory I call ebooks and everything goes into there. I also then add all the books to my Calibre library manager.

Both are backed up to multiple backup storage devices.

Supertrouper | 1 comments I put all my ebooks into a directory just for ebooks too which is automatically backed up along with everything else on my computer. I also keep all my ebooks on my ereader device which is usually with me wherever I am.

Jessica I have an excel spreadsheet (but I don't put where I got them from, I usually remember).

Justy (justy1) | 18 comments I keep my ebooks on 2 different hard drives but don't keep track of where I got them from. I also keep both the DRM and liberated versions so that I can always go back to the original if needed.

I'm working on moving my 800+ ebooks to Calibre but am still figuring out how to maintain the folder structure I use on my eBook Readers which assists me in quickly finding the book I want to read next.
