Wild Things: YA Grown-Up discussion

December 2009: Read a New Book Month - Read a YA book that was released anytime in October 2009, November 2009, or December 2009.

I plan on reading Shadowland.

I plan on reading The Maze Runner.

The "New Book" Challenge is going to be much harder (and more expensive) for me when it comes to finding books... :(
But maybe I will find some new books that I didn't know about :)

Hmm...Gonna have to go through my list. I know I have quite a few.

Can Diary of a Wimpy Kid 4 count?

Is #4 the Dog Days one? If so, then that counts. I bought that one for my little brother for Christmas.

Misty, could you post some of your list? I have no idea what new books are out there or how to find them. Thanks!

Just wanted to make sure because it is technically a "children's" book...

If you go HERE, goodreads has a list of new release books for the year. In the top right hand corner you can also sort it by which month you are searching for. I usually just find an author I recognize and click on the book to see if it is YA.

Another website that I use is YAlit. They show new release books for YA. If you don't find anything you are interested in right away, there is a show more button and they usually have all/most of the YA new release books.

I figured out what are New Releases by going to Barnes and Nobles's website and went to teen and picked "New Releases"- then I looked at the publication date.

Yes, it was Linda Grace! I also love reading Christmas books during December. I read The Gingerbread Pirates, which is very cute. It made me want to try and make Gingerbread Pirates for Christmas.

I'm having a really tough time with this one. My library doesn't have many books that are this new. I may have to do this one in a few months when they get some of them in.
