With 15 tradpubbed titles under my belt, I thought I had it made until I felt the impact of the Digital Era + Great Recession. Now my eyes are wide open and I'm making up for lost time. I've just come with my first indie-pubbed title. Hoping you'll take a peek https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Greg Thain (gregthain) | 3 comments Good day!

I just released a business book entitled "FMCG: The Power of Fast Moving Consumer Goods". FMCG is a book detailing the history of the some of the world's most famous brands, from their humble beginnings to their current exalted status: world leaders and resonating icons of the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry. In the book, my co-author John Bradley and I, walk through 24 of the world's top brands and examine their most recent developments and their glittering trajectories. It takes you on a journey through setbacks and astonishing successes, highlighting the key factors that have led to modern preeminence, ingenious and often sophisticated brand-building, revealing the DNA of the brands themselves.

Anyone who is interested in reviewing my book, I can send either an apple book or pdf version of it. Thanks.

Gideon Asche (gideonasche) | 29 comments CERTIFIED PIECE OF THE BERLIN WALL GIVAWAY.... JINNIK: A tale of the cold war you have not heard.

Jinnik by Gideon D. Asche

Sofia Bulgaria. October,1987

We both woke early, Andreas pointed out that our car seemed to have a friend. He could see where it was parked from the window and it was obvious there was a man watching it. He didn’t even try to hide it, just a guy in a suit sitting on the fender.

We were screwed! I could feel it in my bones. I told Andreas to run the “blame me” game and try to get home. We both got ready to check out. Maybe it was just my paranoia. I told Andreas to go to the car with our bags and I would check out and get our Passports back from the clerk.

I followed him about 5 minutes later, just long enough to walk “Mr. Wiggley” just one more time. Bladder relieved, I made my way to the front desk with little hope of making it out the door. The clerk was pleasant enough as she leaned over the counter to me and said. “These men would like to talk to you. They are Policemen. ”

I felt the first blow just below the knees on the back of my legs. My knees buckled throwing me to the ground. The next few blows just cracked a few ribs and bruised me up a little then one hard crack to the side of my head.

For some reason I focused on the wall clock, a simple round black plastic clock with a white face and the “Intourist” logo of the Russian Tourist bureau: It was 0917hrs, the 5th of October 1987.

==============

THE NEXT FIVE (5) SELFIES SHOWING THE COVER IMAGE OF "JINNIK" IN THE PICTURE WILL RECIEVE A CERTIFIED PIECE OF THE BERLIN WALL.

It has not just bios of the murder victim and all of the detectives in the book.

It also offers:

-- the recipe to the perfect grilled cheese sandwich coveted by the lead detective

-- a Google Earth walking tour of all of the skyscrapers in Manhattan visited by the detectives

--photos of the vintage Italian scooter the lead detective rides and the murder victim's apartment

-- and much much more.

It’s a philosophy book, a reference book, a how-to book, a recipe book, a family & friends story book, a book with pictures, a book full of short/campfire-type stories that all connect to each other, and it’s funny as hell. Do you have even one book on your bookshelf at home that you can say this about? Read this book & you will!

Who'd be interested & entertained by this book?
People who are family centered; or want to get the skinny on lobsters & lobstering & saltwater fishing & boating on the New England coast; or are looking for some primo lobster recipes; or are visiting New England and want the inside scoop on local eateries/retailers/service providers that locals visit. I can easily see folks reading it who want to gain or validate a few insights into human nature; or want a book that has pictures to accompany the story; or are looking for a perfect beach/lodge/camp read; or who just plain want a book that will make them feel good, and laugh, and help them escape the pressures that life is dumping on them at the time.

For a perfect look inside of Lobster Tales, Life Lessons, and Laughter, check out the website I built for it at http://www.lobstertaleslifelessonsand.... Have Fun!
