Solitaire Parke (solitaireparke) | 17 comments My name is Solitaire Parke , and I write Horror/Thriller, Sci-fi and Fantasy fiction.

Visit my Official Website and My Blog for more information and updates about my up and coming novels, "Tinker Smith & the Conspiracy of OZ" and "The Emerald Dragon."

I just published "Vengeance of the Wolf" a Horror/Thriller novel (Book One of The Dorian Trilogy). Detective John Yardley and FBI agent, Frank Williams are on a quest. They are determined to stop a manipulative, unknown mass murderer, whose targets seem to be specific politicians in a bizarre and maniacal killing spree...one that draws them into a world of dreams and nightmares beyond their wildest imaginations. Awaiting them are unbelievable terrors, chilling twists and turns, and a scope of destruction that they would never have believed possible.

Book two, "A Distant Howling" coming later this year!

I can also be found on Facebook . A sample of the first chapter is available in the Bookstore!

Starting this Friday, April 27th , I will be posting a chapter from “The Emerald Dragon” every Friday as I’m writing it! So be sure to visit My Blog to follow the story of the dragon rider Tanis!

Aaron Thibeault (thebookreporter) | 81 comments Just finished reading `Imagine: How Creativity Works` by Jonah Lehrer. The book explores creativity in individuals, groups, businesses & organizations, cities and societies. The work is heavy on anecdotes (as books by journalists tend to be) but also does a good job of covering the science of creativity that is emerging out of experiments and studies in neuroscience and social psychology. There is much to be learned about creativity here, and how we can get more of it in our personal lives and in the groups, organizations, cities and societies of which we are a part. I`ve written an executive-style summary of the book available at newbooksinbrief.wordpress.com

Cheers,
Aaron

Stephen Pearl (stephenp11) | 272 comments Hi all. The Morbid Seraphic anthology to which I contributed the story Better the Devil You Know – The story of a succubus with a difference, a wizard cop and a deadly drug in a world where magic has returned, is now available.
“Even the divine have a dark side…”
Take a journey into a world where the forgotten reign as King and Queen. Explore a “reality” where the divine give meaning and substance to the concept of IMMORTALITY. These menacing tales feature beings of divinity from angels, demons, gods, goddesses, to personifications of divine principals. No other worldly being is safe. The sparkly undead and wild shaggy dogs have no place in this anthology of dark proportions. ..
Can you handle it?

If you liked Nukekubi you’ll probably like Better the Devil You Know, so check it and my other works out on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=ntt_athr_...

Jaye Frances | 133 comments My new summer read "The Cruise - All That Glitters" was released on Amazon last week. It's a romantic comedy about a single guy who decides to take a different kind of vacation, and finds himself in more than a few unexpected situations while learning a few lessons about love along the way.

Here's a brief synopsis:

It’s love on the high seas for Dean, a thirty-something bachelor taking his first... cruise, hoping for a shipboard romance. On the prowl for the elusive hard-body, he quickly becomes disillusioned, wondering if his expectation of a boatload of beautiful sea nymphs is something found only in travel brochures.

Until he meets Angel.

She is the girl of his dreams, brought to life as a bewitching goddess, ready to engage in every sensual delight. Quickly lured into submission by Angel’s seductive charms, Dean is ready to surrender his heart and soul to this provocative beauty.

Until he meets Marcie . . .

Here is the link to Amazon:

I hope you'll take a look!

Kaniza Garari (kanizagarari) | 4 comments Hi all,

Here is the link of my book website: www.theseptemberrevelation.com. Fiction novel.

Added here is the review of the book:

The sleek and slender book, ‘The September Revelation’ is a simple tale about a young woman Zainab with a past that she cannot forget which invariably becomes an obstacle in her present, refusing to permit her to settle down in life.
With not too many pages to pull you down, the book is a delight to read, something which you can finish reading without straining your nerves. The narrative is smooth, hiccup-free and simple so, you just sail along with the characters.
The book boasts of no hi-funda stuff – just a story which many readers can identify with at some point or the other in their lives. Just some realities that some of us refuse to accept at times even when it stares at us in our faces! Like when the author writes about the protagonist,

“Had she too, in all these years, lived by mere perceptions and evaded reality? Was she not a victim of her own cobwebs who refused to see the world outside the cave – probably ducking deep into another?”

The book is about love, acceptance and denial – all very nicely portrayed.
“They once again reminded him, that she was the silhouette of his life, always at the horizon, hence to own her was never in his destiny. He should be happy by having her forever locked in his memories and cherish the new ones there soon to come his way.”

I am sure you will enjoy reading the book.

Thanks,

Matthew Akers | 40 comments http://www.sonofadam.org

Son Of Adam, takes us on the thrill ride exposing the monster lurking inside each of us.

Cal, a black, rough tempered, hard-nosed automotive engineer driving his way around life’s twisting race-track until the second Gulf War places him on a collision course with a pedophile serial killer in a distant war-torn land. Lives changed forever in an instant of horror.

Seventeen girls missing and seventeen weeping mothers with no hope of rescue confuse the soldier’s motives and missions. A small, foreign village with a fledgling infrastructure barely able to support traffic stops was a pedophiles playground. The shadows of war and the prowling despot have free reign over the frightened village families until the killer gets sloppy, exposing his bloodstained trail. All the gory pieces fall together and the Army platoon moves in for the arrest. Mission accomplished for all, except for the soldier that found him – the one who had to search the killer’s bedroom and catalog all of his bloody souvenirs.

Back home and years later, the demons of that horrible day are still lurking in the darkness, pushing him from odd job to odd job around the country, spiraling an out of control life but weaving it back together with help from some unlikely outsiders – just like him.
The suspenseful story winds its way from the foothills of the Alps to the foothills of the Appalachians as a new journey begins. With twists and turns along the way, finishing in the unwanted answer to an age old question. A life redeemed in the midst of disgraceful mistakes and youth’s tiresome baggage, bringing him back to the tender answer to a divisive social issue: How can anyone be Pro-Life and Pro-Death Penalty?

From first homes to the German Oktoberfest and jumbo jet rides across the Atlantic Ocean to automotive assembly plants in the new south, Son Of Adam, exposes the inner workings of the fall-out from the heinous crimes and bloody investigation, pieced by painful piece.

Be careful what you ask… Son Of Adam.
