College Students! discussion

I know I'm knew and all, but I'd like to do a group meet up over winter break if anyone is interested. My city is New York, so by force of geography would like to do it there. Any thoughts?

I think this is violently unfair because I live in Oklahoma and no one lives in or near Oklahoma, so I can't meet anyone. But I am coming to New York in May on my way home from Athens.

we could do another one then, and once your thesis passes, you could move. ;)

You know, my third lifelong ambition is to be a bleacher creature for a season. And I think my professional ambition would be to become the official historian of the Yankees. And yes, we will have a meet in May.

It would be fun but my family/friends would think I'm insane meeting people that I've never met. lol

We should host one in Oklahoma because it's centrally located geographically.

Well, yeah, in May. I wish I could come up at the end of December, early January, but I don't think I can get good airfare.

I was thinking about doing something like this. However I think it should be in Boston. Only because I'd have a hard time getting into NYC. And would we be staying at hotels or something?

No, no. Come to California. I'm all traveled out and can't even get it together to go home for Christmas (partly because I had no idea it was next week already).

Haha. I'd TOTALLY go to Utah, it would give me an excuse to go there. Utah's got my vote. As long as I can get some time off/afford the plane ticket.

I'd be up for this depending on when it happens. I plan on being on the east coast until April or May, so if I'm still around then I'd travel down there with you Tahleen.

You would be surprised! I am shocked my first one contained Heather. Besides, it stops sometimes then you can go crazy on land. :)

I'd be game for meeting a bunch of Utahns and others at Sam Wellers sometime. We may have to wait until I finish reading the 50 books I own that I said I'd read before I bought any books this year. Two (almost five) down. I'm sure I couldn't survive the temptation.

I'll second what David said. That would be a lot of fun.

I can do a poll asking what state everyone is in. The state where most of the members are, that will be the meeting place of the club meet up. Details can be figured out later. Sound like a plan?

Sounds like the beginning of one, though I think there might be negotiations afterward.

I am a Kentucky dweller that works, goes to school, has a house and a dog. I couldn't go!!! :( I need a pity party. Haha.
