Veronica (v_a_b) | 10 comments Things that your character does when they are nervous, what would be their so-called "tell"

Wrings Hands
Doesn't look anybody in the eye/looks at one specific spot
Will look only at the person they are talking to, and never break eye contact
Blinks twice as fast (humans normally blink 2-3 times per minute)
taps fingers/toes/feet
plays with hair
scratches head, face, or other part of body
plays with ears/earlobes
fiddles with whatever is in his/her hands
Talks in very short sentences.
Talks in very long sentences

Blinking only 2-3 times per minute? That seems extremely slow to me... Are you sure that's right?

message 5: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah, that's a little... slow. Probably more like 7 times. Maybe 5, but 2 or 3?

message 6: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm so obsessive-compulsive I had to look it up. On this website, it said people blink 15 times per minute.

Sorry, I'm a perfectionist. =\

message 7: by [deleted user] (new)

Crikey!

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

or blinking 2 much. i absolutely HATE that.

message 9: by [deleted user] (new)

Batting their eyelashes. Ya. I know.

message 10: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments Or their eyes get super duper wide like mine.

message 11: by [deleted user] (new)

Ya...or they rock back and forth when they are sitting down. My neighbor does that.

message 12: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments I don't think i'd mind people tapping pencils so much if they had a good beat.

message 13: by [deleted user] (new)

Ya. Like if they were tapping to say, "Another One Bites The Dust". Well, that would get me dancing because I love that song.

message 14: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments Very much agreed.

message 15: by [deleted user] (new)

Do like Queen?

message 16: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments I love Queen. Have you seen a Night's Tale?

message 17: by [deleted user] (new)

No. Boo.

message 18: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments You must see it! It has Health Ledger and its a really well done period film with a rock spin on it! Me and my friends watch it on a traditional basis.

message 19: by [deleted user] (new)

I need to see this. What's it rated?

message 20: by Summer (last edited Dec 17, 2009 05:25PM) (new)

Summer | 349 comments PG-13. It's brilliant! It's got a couple scene's where this guy is naked but not in a sexual way. These guys steel his cloths after he gamles all his money away. By the way the naked guy is Chaucer, a rather famous medieval writer in real life. He wrote the Night's Tale I think... Anyway, there's a few english versions of cuss words, and just straight english cuss words, and some kissing scenes but that's about it if your woried about it but nothing too over the top is ever really shown.

message 21: by [deleted user] (new)

When he's naked, you don't...see anything, do you?

message 22: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments Only his backside and a side view but you sitll don't see the *anything* I think your refering to. That's it. There are some front views but you just see his chest.

message 23: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay. I've...seen slightly worse...

message 24: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments It's a rather brilliant movie otherwise. Very well writen and hilarious all together. It's about jousting and arthurian romance but not arthur himself and its a Cinderella story basically but it has rock music! Plus it was filmed in Chezkloslovocia (???) so they kind of have all these earthy medieval looking places and people in the film w/ english/australian/american actors.

message 25: by [deleted user] (new)

Czekeslovokia, I think. Now it's split into the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

message 26: by [deleted user] (new)

I thought it was Czechoslovakia. But I can't remember...

message 27: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments Lol. Such a long.

message 28: by Acacia (new)

Acacia (acaciaa) It was Czechoslovakia, now it's the Czech Republic and Slovakia. ;)

message 29: by [deleted user] (new)

I spelled it right! *claps for herself and smiles cheesily*

message 30: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments I wish I could remember that.

Acacia wrote: "It was Czechoslovakia, now it's the Czech Republic and Slovakia. ;)"

I already said that....I mispelled it, though O_O.

message 32: by [deleted user] (new)

I think Acacia was just spelling it for everyone to see. =]

message 33: by [deleted user] (new)

OH...ha....I'm smart...

Oh this is a really good idea.

Eye twitching
jumps up and down
sings his lies in opera

message 35: by [deleted user] (new)

Starts stuttering (I love stutters... long story.)

message 36: by Renee (new)

Renee (rjmiller) Repeats himself. I have a character that repeats the last bits of his sentences (very Rainmanesque) and he's a favorite with readers.

message 37: by Summer (new)

Summer | 349 comments Or just can't speak at all. Like he jumbles up his words and stuff.

message 38: by [deleted user] (new)

Mitch stutters when he's nervous...it's kind of funny when he talks to a girl he's got the hots for...☺

Awww! Where can I read that? He sounds like a cutie there.

message 40: by [deleted user] (new)

Umm, in a notebook?. He's almost always a cutie to me ☺. Well, except when he's breaking Tony Hartle's nose...lol...I love that part...

message 41: by [deleted user] (new)

Hahaha.

message 42: by [deleted user] (new)

I'll let you read that on some B-day at lunch. It's absolutely splendid, if I do say so myself.

message 43: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay, I really want to read it now! But, alas, not even a wonderful Mitchell story can make me look forward to school... =P

message 44: by [deleted user] (new)

LOL. It's awesome. But I'm feeling guilty again...I did research and I feel really bad for him...

message 45: by [deleted user] (new)

Research on what? Sorry, I'm braindead still...

message 46: by [deleted user] (new)

Certain...things...not lip related, no.

message 47: by [deleted user] (new)

Hahahaha.

message 48: by [deleted user] (new)

I made him hate me, if that gives you any idea. Go read GTKYC.

message 49: by [deleted user] (new)

Okay.

message 50: by [deleted user] (new)

bites their nails...
