Chicks On Lit discussion

I'm unsure where to post this but have decided that perhaps some of you want to challenge yourselves by seeing who can find galleys or advance reading copies and get these read before anyone else. :-)

Today I gave a library presentation on books being published over the next 4-5 months with a handout. I posted the handout on Google docs and am making the URL available here if anyone wishes to peruse it. There are some intriguing new books coming out in early 2010, and I'm happy (and yes, I'm boasting) that I have some of them in advance reading copies.

One of the purposes of this list (at least in my mind) is to mention what may be new and upcoming authors. Last year's list included the then completely unknown The Help (Stockett) and A Reliable Wife (Goolrick). So you will see many authors you may not have heard about and perhaps never will again. :-) If anyone wants last year's list posted, let me know. I didn't know about Google docs back then.

Thanks so much for posting this -- there are a few I definitely want to check out. Please post last year's list -- there may be a few "goodies" I missed!
