I heard a bit of gossip that Angelina Jolie was being considered for the role of Kay Scarpetta in an in-production / soon-to-be-released movie. Has anyone else heard anything about this.

Heard of it, bt that was months ago. I think by the time they actually decide on actors and if there really comes a movie, it will take a looong while.

Just checked imdb on this. They have Angelina as rumored with a release date as possibly in 2012. No other case listed.

I won't boycot it because it is like collecting something you love...I just need to read or see her things. Like I have with Agatha Christie. But I think it would be much better for the movie if they take a less known actress with a lot of character. The feeling I ahd when I saw The bone collector years ago and saw her playing in it but as a for me unknown actress. I loved how she was in the movie. Unknown, but very strong.
