Challenge: 50 Books discussion

I read over 100 in 2009, and I don't plan on being nearly as ambitious. I also plan on reading some tacky fluff such as Charlaine Harris this year. We'll see how I do!

Tori, we all need to throw in some "tacky fluff!!!" LOL. Too much serious reading can really drag a person down. I'm hoping to read the Twilight searies this year as well as some sookie stackhouse and ofcourse a couple James Patterson books that I haven't read yet.

Good luck with your reading, Connie. I agree that serious reading can get one down. This past year I read Anne Frank, Night, The Bell Jar, and a lot of Vonnegut. I threw some fluff in there, but still...

Good luck reading this year and have fun! I just finished the first Sookie Stackhouse book this morning! I cant wait to read more! 2009 i read mostly Young Adult books (I'm 16) and this year Im going to try to get a little more into adult books and some classics I've been wanting to read.

Lexi....my daughter(14)just finished Beautiful Creatures [image error] and loved it. Thought you might be interested. It is one of the top books on Amazon right now. Happy reading in 2010!

Yeah...nothing to do on New Years Day but take care of a sick husband and read. Oh Sookie!

I think I'm going to try for the opposite of what you are this year, I'm going to try and read some not-so-fluffy books this year. I read a lot in the romance/fluff category in 2009.

Sookie is so easy to get caught up in, enjoy!

#4-Definitely Dead - Harris

#5- All Together Dead - Harris. Two more Sookie's and I'll be caught up...until May that is. :)

#6- From Dead to Worse- Harris

#8- Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe - Fanny Flagg

#9 - A Touch of Dead - Harris
There was nothing to this book and the writing was a bit off compared to her other work. It's basically 5 short stories that are combined in one book. I read it in an hour and a half.

LOL. I don't think I'll be done until mid-year. Those Sookie Stackhouse books are very easy reads though. :) I also don't watch much tv.

#10 - Hungry Girl - Lillien

Weird. I felt like reading this book which is kind of a cookbook and find that I am reading it word for word. (As opposed to just reading recipes I'm interested in.) I'm kind of interested in the whole topic. I've read a few other cookbooks word for word. Does anyone else do that or is it totally weird of me?

I read cookbooks all the time. Currently working on Good Eats the Early Years. Recipes and science.
