Peep (Pop! Pop!) You sure it wasn't Double Dare? That had slime.

message 702: by Heather (new)

Heather | 166 comments Hmm, again, what year??

message 703: by Heidi (new)

Heidi No Peep. Double Dare was a game show that came on a little while later, but they were both Nickelodeon shows. You Can't Do That on TV had a very young Alanis Morissette. It was a skit show, and whenever the kids said "I Don't Know", they were hit with green slime. It is from the mid 80's. Classic!

Susan Bischoff (susan_bischoff) | 34 comments :Waves: Points for me? I watched You Can't Do That On Television, although it was far from a fav, the green slime thing is what I remember best about it.

message 705: by Heidi (new)

Heidi You are too young Bluemoon. Yeah for Susan :)

message 706: by Susan (new)

Susan Bischoff (susan_bischoff) | 34 comments :stretches: gotta go back to pushing 40 now...

message 707: by Lani (new)

Lani (crahfty) | 253 comments ok, I've been a part of this group for awhile, but haven't properly introduced myself. I'm Lani, 30 year old single mother of one very handsome 7 year old boy who loves the Wimpy kid series. I started reading as a way to be a good example for him and became obsessed. I started with the Twilight series and have yet to really branch out of YA.

message 708: by Chachic (new)

Chachic Welcome Lani!

message 709: by Susan (new)

Susan okay now I'm off to google him cause I gotta know-LOL!

message 712: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Thanks Susan! He doesn't look too horrible now. At least I don't think so.

message 713: by Susan (new)

Susan LOL-he looks good but not as good as David!!

message 714: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't think he looks horrible but he doesn't look good.

message 715: by Heather (new)

Heather | 166 comments Heidi, bad girl! That picture brings back such memories!!!

BTW, how do you add a picture like that? I'm tired of a blank pic for me..

message 716: by Heather (new)

Heather | 166 comments Bluemoon - Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh, OK, prepared, very prepared. Ah hell, now I have to see what I have on my puter!

message 717: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Yea Heather! I am going to delete my crazy long comment above about pictures, sine you figured it out :)

message 718: by Heather (new)

Heather | 166 comments I appreciate the help! So, so, so, do you like the picture?????? I am so proud that I did it!

message 719: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Looks great Heather. I am a huge cat lover and have two of them myself.

message 720: by Heather (new)

Heather | 166 comments That was Elvis, my favorite and familiar. He was a great guy and I have him permanently on my left inner forearm.

message 721: by [deleted user] (new)

Elvis is very handsome!

message 722: by Heather (new)

Heather | 166 comments Thank you! I realized that you can barely see him but that was one of the best pictures I have of him. It's funny though every Friday the 13th they talk about black cats and bad luck. Well, I never had a problem with luck where he was concerned..

message 723: by Ali (new)

Ali | 106 comments haha.. You Can't Do That On Television... grew up on that! Been derailed a bit helping the folks move this weekend but gonna be back on Catching Fire tonight!

message 724: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Yea Ali! Another YCDTOTV (thats a long one) fan :)

message 725: by Heather (new)

Heather | 166 comments Thanks Bluemoon!!! Yeah, I don't think Elvis would have liked dogs..

message 726: by Jason (new)

Jason (foreverjuly) | 176 comments Heather, with those eyes, I think Elvis's Lolcatz text would be something like: "I see dead people."

Can anyone come up with anything better? Maybe we should have a contest!

message 727: by Heather (new)

Heather | 166 comments Hmm, nah, it was more of, "OMG, you have hands! Oh, oh you must pad my belly!!!""" Plus, "Do you have an asparagus???"...

message 728: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Heather my black cat loves spinach leaves, must be something about those black cats getting their greens. p.s. in honor of Elvis, I made my profile a pic of my big fat cat Milo destroying the Christmas tree.

message 729: by Heather (new)

Heather | 166 comments Elvis would go insane when I would cook the asparagus! He would just start crying in the door way demanding some! Of course I would give him some and the vets just couldn't believe he loved it!

message 730: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Boschee (beccaleone) | 3 comments I'm Rebecca. I love to read and write YA - especially YA romance. I just finished reading Shiver and loved it. Looking forward to hearing what others are reading.

message 731: by Chachic (new)

Chachic Welcome Rebecca! Glad you liked Shiver, have you read Maggie Stiefvater's other books? Also, there are a lot of YA romance books out there so I hope you get some good recommendations.

message 732: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Hi Rebecca! Welcome to the best group on GR. No bias at all!

message 733: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Welcome!

message 734: by [deleted user] (new)

Changed my avatar to a pic of my dogs in their little bike trailer after our ride tonight. It was their first bike ride in the trailer. Our schnauzer loved it but our little girl wasn't too sure about it. I think she liked her basket better. :)

message 735: by Chachic (new)

Chachic Shannen, your dogs are cute!

message 736: by [deleted user] (new)

Bluemoon - Can't wait to see your dog! I love pics!

I will read almost anything but Vampires have always fascinated me. in the past couple years I have really gotten into reading again and enjoyed reading series books. Vampire Academy, House of Night, Blue Bloods, Hunger Games, The pretties, just to name a few. I am excited to see what I have been missing out on. I am going to have to start by checking out the Darkest Power Trilogy I think, lol
