So I try my hardestto get them to read. I also like to write. I am working on my book right now, and I am on fanfiction and fictionpress. I usually set out to write something happier than what I normally write, but then I end up writing mire emo death poetry. The sad part is that I don't even know where it comes from, it simply just is. I am a straight a student, I have been for my life, and I plan on always being one. I really wish that people would take my dream of becoming an author and writing a book seriously, and that they would help me out and read it, but I'll stop venting to you, who don't have a clue what this rant is all about. Anyways, I am a teen who hangs around adults way too much for hr own youth, and lobes to read and write. Hi!!!

The last YA books I read include Suzanne Collins Hunger Games and the Immortal Instruments Series.

I have a lot of favorite authors and read a wide range of young adult fiction, from fantasy to historical to contemporary (and almost everything in between).
Anyways, thanks for having me and feel free to message me anytime!

I'm just a YA at heart even though I'm not so young anymore. Working with kids as a therapist everyday helps me to stay and feel like a YA.
Looking forward to all of your reviews, suggestions, and more YA books!

Hi Cissi, welcome to the group.
I've always had people tell me I will never make it as a writer. Even someone who was a writer told me that I'd never be a writer and for a few years I'd given up on writing. I'm back to writing now and working on a book trilogy.
There will be people who won't take you seriously, but don't let that get to you. I am sure your stories are great. Keep writing and don't give up on your dream.

Thanks. I really hope that you get published. Wait, are you already published? I would love to read your books, if they are suitable for me to read! Thanks again for the advise! Don't worry, I won't let it bring me down. Writinnis my emotional outlet... I don't even have much drama in my life, cause I don't allow it, but I just have these ideas, and I vent with my writing. Thank you again!

You're welcome. I'm not published yet. I'm still working on my book trilogy, but it's a young adult fantasy trilogy I'm writing.

Sounds totally awesome!! Can you tell me what it's about, or is it top secret? :D

I'll tell you a bit. It's about a 16 year old girl who lives in a world similar to ours, but different in many ways and she has powers of sorts.

Cool!! I can't wait until it's published! It's gonna be great! Keep me posted on the details of it, please! Tell me how it's coming along!! This is way cool!!

Okay, I will. Is it okay if I send you a friend request?

Yup. Wait, I think I just did...? Wow, maybe I am developing short term memory loss. At a very young age, I would say!

I'm probably going to be mostly a lurker here because I still don't have the time to keep up. I just marked as read all posts to date, in fact, and I may mark some future posts as read without really reading them.
This seems like a terrific group and I'm here so I can get book ideas and to just keep up with what's out there in young adult literature.
I will try to contribute at times though if I have book recommendations or anything else to add.

I just read Saving Ceecee Honeycutt and loved it. If you liked The Help, check it out.

Right now I am finishing Dark Flame by Alyson Noel which is the fourth book in The Immortals Series. I love it, however is seems as though the story is dragging at this point... I dunno, I still enjoy it though.

My name is Heather Matthews, and I've written a young adult fantasy novel called The Secret Of The Emerald Sea. It's just arrived at the Kindle Store and OmniLit, and it will be available in print in a couple of weeks.
If you love mermaids, oracles, witches, gods, and goddesses, you might enjoy this magical adventure.
