that would be great :) & yea I am enjoying it a lot. I even went out and bought the rest of the books in the Mortal Instruments series, including the last one that came out this month, lol.

I'm Sue and I just joined this group today. I am very happy to see a group here on Goodreads for those of us who are adults, but love YA fiction! My favorite genre within YA is paranormal/fantasy. I, like many others started reading YA after I read the Twilight Saga. I subscribe to Entertainment Weekly and I read a blurb on the Saga in that magazine before Breaking Dawn came out. I picked up the first book and immediately ordered the next 2, and luckily Breaking Dawn came out while I was reading Eclipse.
Anyway, I digress. I mostly read YA on my kindle, but I also read some adult paranormal, and urban fantasy like Patricia Briggs and Charlaine Harris. My favorite series' are Twlight, Vampire Academy, the Hunger Games trilogy and the Morganville Vampires series. I look forward to getting some recommendations of what I should read next. I am currently reading Patricia Briggs Alpha & Omega (not YA).

My favourite genre of YA would have to be fantasy, but I am also very fond of dystopian YA. My top 3 book series would have to be Harry Potter, Maria V. Snyder's study series and the hunger games trilogy. :)

We are all book pushers in this group and your "To Be Read" list is about to get out of control.

Welcome! Harry Potter, Hunger Games, and Study series - you are a girl after my own heart :)

me too
Welcome :)

Hi Holly,
I acutally just bought the first book the other day! I'll start that as soon as I finish Misguided Angel from The Blue Blood series.

yay!!! I like the blue blood series as well. Can't wait to hear what you think of VA!

My name is Angela and I just joined this group a few days ago, and it's nice to know I'm not the only Adult YA reader around :) My love of YA led to my writing and my first YA novel, Songbird, is being released this summer.
I'm really interested in seeing if what appeals to me about YA books is also what appeals to other adults.

Welcome to the group.

My name is Heather, started reading YA after a friend sucked me into the Twilight world. Loved the Hunger Games series, The Summoning and a few others.
Looking forward to reading and meeting you fellow YA addicts!

dying to get that book. Read the first one a while back and loved it. Welcome ^^

Oh my goodness, you could be my twin, only have two little ones instead of 3. My husband says the exact same thing to me all the time!!! I just can't help it, once I start a book I can't put it down until it's done :)

As soon as my kids are in bed I get my ereader out he just looks over at me and sighs loudly. He just doesnt get it, which frustrates me so much.

LOL!
Well, you've found the right place, then! Everyone here 'gets it'. ;)
Welcome, Kellie, Jessie, and Heather!

The second is just as charming. I may have an authorscrush on Maureen Johnson now. I've added all her other books to my tbr pile. :D

My husband is the same way. LOL.

haha, loves it, 'authorcrush' :D I think I'm gonna start using that now because I have a few myself :D And so glad to hear that about the 2nd book. I'm hoping to get it soon :)

Ah, as an author I'm delighted to hear there's such a thing as an authorcrush... :)
Who are yours, Jen?

I have an authorcrush on Rebecca Maizel, J.K. Rowling, Richelle Mead & Paulo Coelho. And my most recent authorcrushes are on Jennifer Donnelly, Mandy Hubbard and A.M. Robinson.
I guess I have a lot, hehe :)

The House of night series, IMO, is not very good at all. Instead I would recommend you give the, Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead, a try.

Thanks for the heads up, Jen. After trolling around the site I read some similar reviews so decided to spare myself the trouble. I'll take a look at the VA. Thanks for the suggestion.

You can find books one and two The Judas Syndrome and Rebirth, on amazon in paperback and for the kindle (just $2.99 a piece).
For more information on the books, visit the website at http://www.the-judas-syndrome.com
Thanks for the opportunity to post!
