R.G., next time can you bring chocolate covered donuts? I love those! Jelly donuts are, ahem, gross. Just throwing that out there. Not pointing fingers or anything. I'm merely implying that chocolate covered donuts can give you best friend potential. No, not best friend, bff!

I teach high school English and I'm a self-published author of a YA series. I really enjoy reading YA book. My ninth graders love Armageddon Summer. It leads to great discussion about religion and families.
I look forward to discussing books with you.

My name is Anna, I'm from Norway and I (kind of obviously) love reading. Some of my favourite books are YA like: Harry Potter, The Hunger Games, The Book Thief, His Dark Materials etc. Coming here I have realised that I have a tons of good reads coming my way, and I can't wait to see your suggestions!

OK, I'm back and I have brought something along that may be too much. Please do not click on the link if you are easily disturbed by such things: http://bit.ly/lWYUZu

Hi Charlotte!!!

Welcome Charlotte!!! Your book is now on my TBR. I'm looking forward to reading it :)

(said in awe): It's like Christmas, a birthday, winning the lottery, finding $20 bucks in your pocket, paid leave, 70 degree sunny weather, and a smile.... wrapped together and sitting on that one paper towel. It's enough to make me cry!
Hello everyone! My name is Shay, I am an Army wife, have a teenage son, two cats and one dog. I am an avid reader of almost all genres. I read a lot of YA now days. When I am not reading I am most likely writing. If I am not doing either of those I am probably playing video games, riding my bicycle, or shopping for books.
Currently I am reading Infinity by Sherrilyn Kenyon and Skippy Dies by Paul Murray.

I literally just finished reading Hexbound. I've also recently read Ash, Memento Nora, Unnatural, and Birthmarked.
Almost forgot - I'm a southern gal too! I was born in Texas. My Dad was in the Air Force, so we moved around a bit, then came back to Texas just before I started High School. I've lived here ever since.

Thanks Cori, can't wait to hear what others think of it :)

Hi Katie :)

My name's Ashley, and I live in Adelaide, South Australia. When I'm not working as a paramedic I'm a passionate reader and writer of YA fiction.
My novel Facing Demons will be out in September and I am holding an ARC giveaway in June, so be sure to enter!
It's a pleasure to join this group and I look forward to connecting with you all. :)
Ash

It is nice to be here. If you get a spare minute, Please check out my website at:

I'm trying to devlop a fun site for readers to get extra information about my books. I'm just getting started with this, and I have plans to expand it and polish the format.
Thanks,
Will

I'm Kimmy...yet another newbie, hoping to make some friends, and get to know some more books to fill my brain cells.

I'm Jenn, I'm 30 with 3 kids and I am addicted to Young Adult Novels. And I'm really not interested in the 12 step program to make me stop lol. Currently I'm reading Betrayed by PC Cast and it's taking me forever because it's not nearly as good as Marked. It's actually been on my ipod over 24 hours and I have not yet finished it.

Thanks for sharing.

Timmain here. Thanks for the opportunity to join what seems to be a fantastic group! I am a mother of three and have been reading a lot of YA lately as my sons are in the habit of constantly recommending titles for me. I do love young adult fantasy so it isn't hard to give in to their choices for me :) I have already noticed several titles from your posts that I need to look into.

I wish we had a welcome song here. But that might be because I'm a professional Girl Scout and think there should be a song for every occasion.

My names Chelsea. I love YA books and all the other young adult groups out there don't seem as active so I'm looking for some good book suggestions and some friends for goodreads because I only have 1! Haha. Im work at the Circulation Desk at my library and I'm constantly interlibrary loaning books.

I'm an author of a number of humor books and children's books. I just wrote my first young adult novel called Are You Going To Kiss Me Now? I wrote it with adults in mind so I think you might enjoy it if you're looking for some light, summer reading that'll make you laugh. Anyway, let me know and thanks for the great forum.
Best,
Sloane Tanen

Well, I'm back, and hope to be poking around the group today. Anyway, it's exciting to see the group attracting so many new faces.
Amanda in Louisville

Angela in Colorado

...and Jenn, there is NO need to stop! You've found the support group that supports *continuing* to read YA! lol

I've started a 'what's your age' poll, if anyone wants to participate (and don't worry, it's anonymous!)

cheers,
Jody

I am so excited about the Jaime sighting!"
My reaction was. Moderator??? Sorry Jaime.

I'm Gina, a sophomore in college and a reading fanatic ever since I can remember. I'm just now starting to have time for leisure reading so I've been paying more attention to goodreads lately, more specifically this group (which I found thanks to search and love already)
So, hello everyone :) Look forward to seeing all of you around the discussions

I joined a few days ago, but never got to introduce myself.
Reading and collecting books are two of the things I like doing. YA fiction is my top favorite - fantasy, dystopian, historical - you name it, I like it.
I used to do a lot of reading growing up (and especially during college years, I went to a Liberal Arts college and took up Humanities), but have actually stopped when I graduated and started working. However, I'm returning to my first love and have restarted on reading again.
I'm glad to have seen this; it seems like a lively group. Glad to meet you all. I'm looking forward to interacting in the discussions here. :)
