What if Charlotte had been pregnant longer and hadn't told anyone? Random but how on earth can they tell it's a boy back in that time? lol I wasn't thinking about the timing but you're right; 9 months is a long time for a CC book.

And I would definitely say Jessamine would NOT be taking care of that baby. lol Probably Tessa.

So what can readers expect from Clockwork Princess?

prediction: i bet that in clockwork princess that the mmagister has the cure to jems illness and he will trade it for tessa. Then jem will probably say no and die OR tessa steps in and says yes and then Will captures her from mortmain and marries her.

Just like it says on my website, there is no set release date for either Clockwork Princess of City of Heavenly Fire.
That is because we are still going around trying to figure out how to get the books out as fast as possible without compromising their quality. Books take time to write. My books are really long. The Clockwork books require a ton of research. There was a year and four month gap between Angel and Prince, so assuming that same gap again would still put the book at March 2013.
It’ll probably be somewhere between the two — March and September — but I don’t know when yet. I know it’s confusing with different dates on different parts of different sites, but my FAQ is the most reliably updated place."_Cassie

Yeah I was hoping for that as well... do you guys know if there are gonna be any ARCs for this book? I know she's not doing any with COLS or COHF. Or at least that's what I've been hearing...

In that interview she doesn't specify whether or not she is immortal though. She said she was either a ghost or she was really there.

I have no idea what the deal with Tessa is. It is way too confusing. The only thing I know is if she marries Jem (or even Will), she will stay the same age if she is a warlock, and Jem or Will are both going to age. *concerned*

Very concerned! That would just suck for her! And she wouldn't be able to have kids which would also suck! But my hope is that the reason why Tessa was at the end of CoG is cuz she was checking on Jace cuz maybe just maybe Jace might be her great-great-great grandson. I know I know wishful thinking but still. That's my hope.

The reason why Tessa's an immortal or lives longer than most people is mentioned in CoFA, not in CoG or on Cassie's website =)

i think that they both die...the baby is then adopted by Aunt Callida Fairchild who gives him her last name. He will have Henry's red hair and passes that on down through to Jocelyn and Clary...

um, so i had a bit of a disturbing thought today...thinking of jem, then of mortmain...do you think cassandra clare might somehow "clockwork" jem to save him??? it seems awful to me, but then i'm thinking maybe a possibility...i don't really like the idea.

That's kinda creepy... oh my. I just had a disturbing image flash through my mind of Clockwork Jem... AHHH! Interesting idea though, it WOULD explain why Tessa is the Clockwork Princess! (If she even is I mean, just because she's on the cover doesn't mean she's the one... but if she is, she would be the princess if Jem became the LITERAL Clockwork Prince instead of Mortmain... ah, I'm rambling, but interesting thought. :P )

Mortmain would save Jem to get a hold of Tessa and her mysterious power, he'd then marry her. So she'd become the clockwork princess to his prince. I like the whole Fairchild-red hair idea.

thats actually a very interesting question....if charlotte and henry did indeed die, i imagine jessamine would redeem herself by looking after the baby, as well she would be right at home for her. right up her alley

so if clary is a fairchild and related to charlotte, being born a fairchild, and tessa is somehow related to clary, then by that logic it stands to reason that tessa is somehow indirectly related to charlotte right?

Adele went mad when they drew her first runes on her, runes only work on Shadowhunters. It drives mundanes and Downworlers crazy/zombie like and they eventually die. Considering that's what happened to her she was most likely a changeling.

oh yeah wow i never thought of that!!! i was thinking of the whole some kids never transition into being a shadowhunter and getting their first mark could end badly and they could die. not cuz downworlder
