Andrez (andrez-ssi) | 69 comments I'd like to know how to add an author that isn't on GR database

This Is Not The Michael You're Looking For | 949 comments If you create a book with that author's name or add the author to an existing book which is missing his/her name, the author will be automatically added to the DB.

If they haven't published anything yet, they shouldn't be added.

Are you sure they aren't in the GR database? Someone with 8 published books seems unlikely to be missing entirely, although it's possible.

Ah! Non-English language authors are indeed less-often represented.

Please feel free to add all her books!

Andrez (andrez-ssi) | 69 comments whats the difference between isbn and isbn 13?

message 9: by jenjn79 (new)

jenjn79 | 564 comments ISBN is a 10-digit number, and it's what was initially used as a book identifier. Books/publishers are now switching to an ISBN-13 (13-digits)...I think because of the growing number of books being published and the number of countries using the ISBN standard.
