UK Book Club discussion

Did everyone remember to start their 50 books challenge? :) How's everyone doing? I have to admit that I haven't actually read a book yet, but am gonna go book shopping tomorrow at the 2nd hand book store down the road!

Oh, and if people want to make their own topic to write their list of books in that's cool!

I have read 4 so far since Jan 1st!

I'll be honest, I'd totally forgotten about this but on the up side I have finished one book already :-) it was one I'd started before Jan 1st though so does that count?

I've started 2 but haven't finished them yet. I probably would've finished one last night, but I fell asleep lol

Yeah, I came into the year with a book already started so I haven't included it. Really need to start making progress on my list!!

Right wont be included ones already started then :-) in that case I've started my first one, reading War and Peace so could be a while lol

I started reading War and Peace but gave up after about 2 chapters as I got bored! You'll have to let us know what it's like

I only started last night but it doesn't seem to be has hard to read as I thought it was going to be but I'll keep you posted :-)

Yes its not too bad if you can get by all the boring bits in between the storyline!

I couldn't get used to all the Russian names, kept forgetting who everyone was!

Hopefully I'll get through it then lol. My edition came with its own bookmark that lists the main people by family and a quick blurb on who they are, which I think is going to come in particularly handy ;-)

Ooh that does sound helpful, I was tempted to write up a family tree!

Thankfully I wont need to (hopefully lol)!
