Started the book in anticipation of the movie.. pretty good one, to intro the Greek god mythology..

Ulya, Rick Riordan's book, do you think it can challenge Harry Potter series one day? Just curious...

Depends really.. although Rick Riordan's books is pretty good, the theme of magic is a lot more universal & attractive to kids in general, rather than greek gods/myth.. (altho, i personally am interested in both.. yes, i'm weird that way).. and i think people could relate more with HP than Percy Jackson.. but then, if the movie is really good, it could generate high enough interest in the book.. maybe..

Managed to sneak-read this book when parents came over for CNY. I believe that this is one of the materials for Sastera this year.

Wuish.. Sampai habis baca Percy Jackson. I have the first book in my wishlist dan sudah beberapa kali nampak di MPH tapi masih belum beli-beli lagi.

Though I have to say Uma Thurman looks wicked in that movie. Medusa, I think?

sebenarnya.. *ashamed*.. saya download semua buku2 percy jackson ni dari internet.. nak tunggu saya beli, memang lambat la skit.. cuma nya, sakit pinggang je la membaca e-book berbanding dengan buku biasa ni.. ahaks..

Baru plan nak gie tengok the movie esok.. Best tak? :)

Best! After tengok movie hari tu I bought the first 2 instalments. But of course sampai laaa ni tak dapat baca lagi sebab the kids dah book baca dulu :D

Just got back from the movie - actually best jugak.. But what happen to the Oracle la? Camne boleh tak masuk movie nih? Tak paham sungguh...

Oh yeah, Medusa is totally wicked.. but geli-geliman jugak la tengok the snakes "kissing" Percy.. haha..

Sorry haven't watched it. I saw the trailer way back while I watching Avatar. Couldn't really say how good or bad.

Though I'm taking a week off next week so I am considering taking my eldest to watch it. It rated U, isn't it? Just want to make sure.
