Do you nap?

Rarely because I usually feel worse when I wake up.

I nap. Heartily. They're like my mental restart function.
Only thing is, I normally need a big piece of chocolate afterword to get myself going again. It has to be chocolate.

I take naps on the weekends, or when I am off from work-- my wife hates it when I do.

I'm more likely to nap in the summer, on the front porch, on those long, warm, days...ceiling fan spinning overhead...love that.

My mom used to get so annoyed with my dad when he'd nap too. She'd make all sorts of extra noise and be generally annoying, I think because she felt like he was ignoring her.

I love naps! I am a definite nap-taker. My husband says I'm secretly a cat because I can nap almost anytime. The problem is I can't take little refresher 15 minute naps, mine are marathon 2-3 hr naps. And then I'm up all night. I don't think I have a circadian rhythm any longer, if I ever had one.

I'd be willing to wager the difference falls under where you are into the REM cycle when the nap is interrupted/over.

NOthing beat a nice nap if you have had a stressful weekend!

And Sherrie - I'm like you, I take these 3 hour naps, up til the wee hours, gottawakeup to get the kid off, tired all day, til my power nap, and so it goes and so it goes.
I like to "watch" baseball or golf when I need a siesta.
But the best is the sound of football on a cozy Autumn day.

I came across some pictures of my high school graduation the other day and in one of them our living room couch was in the background. It had a permanent indentation in the shape of my old man's (may God rest his soul) carcass in it from all of his after-dinner naps.
Nothing short of a sonic boom could awaken him.

Speaking of which, I could sure use a nap right now. Or more tea...
Tea it is!

I miss twenty minute power naps. They just aren't in the game plan anymore.
