I should be finishing "Kingdom of the Wicked" today and then I'm not sure what I'm going to read next. maybe "The Turn of the Screw" to keep the spooky vibes for Halloween going.

"Zazen" by Vanessa Veselka. This book is from early 2010's, but with the George Floyd incident, Covid, the Ukrainian/Russian war and every painful thing in-between, this book really is hitting the spot in feeling seen (at least for me)

Finished Vampire Academy, just okay, not sure I’ll continue. There isn’t anything wrong with it, but it didn’t grab my interest.
Starting The Golden Enclaves and want to reread the first two books. I’m so excited for the ending of the trilogy. The last book ended on a cliffhanger and I’ve been dying for this book for a year. I love the characters and the scholomance world

I loved the Schlomance series. Books and 2 were great.

I liked the ending of the trilogy with the Golden Enclaves but since the book takes place outside of the school it is very different than the earlier 2 books. I also thought the heroine did some very out of character things.

Just finished . I stayed up way too late to finish it and review it but once I started I just couldn't put it down lol

I love all books written by Ilona Andrews. I think Bayou Moon with William the werewolf changeling in my favorite.

I´m currently reading and enjoying (love this series).

I read Blitz by Daniel O'Malley. I was up all night reading it I just had to know what happened next.

Most of the books I've been reading aren't in this category, but oh well... At the moment, I'm reading The Snow Child and am enjoying it (it was a book a student wanted me to read). I'm going to start The Queen of Nothing (also a student recommendation, and one I'm looking forward to because I enjoyed The Wicked King.

I'm also currently reading: The Choice: Embrace the Possible (which I'm captivated by), Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones (which I recommend) and This All Come Back Now, which has paranormal elements (Indigenous speculative fiction collection) but not romance.

In the past month I've read and enjoyed Anxious People, The Skylight, Warlight and an as-yet unpublished book by Elena Ireland which was very much romance but not paranormal. It did lead me to consider yet another re-read of Come Hunting, which is paranormal romance for sure, and which I took off my shelf this morning to add to my TBR pile... because I don't have enough books going at the same time haha

I just read Sinta by Honey Phillips. 7 authors did a theme stranded with an alien, and all the books are on Kindle Unlimited.

THIS! That ending!!!! WTF?! I've got such a stupid book hangover. BUT I love love love this series.

Can I just whine/vent/complain for a bit? --- I wish TA White would concentrate more on this series vs her others. I went to check her other (older) books after falling in love with The Firebird Chronicles. But imo, they're not as good as Kira's series. So now we have to wait till she finishes those before we get book 5. *grumble grumble*
