I was a little disappointed with . It wasn't Darynda Jones' best work, but I hope the next book in this series improves.

I've been reading the later books in the Lathar series by Mina Carter. The earlier books I didn't like because the heroes find their fated mate and don't let them leave. The later books the heroes have figured out they have to woo the woman or a different alien guy will steal them away.

I’m trying to go through my backlog this year. Nightwalker is my first selection.

Tempting Fate - new to me author, and while book 1 was just Ok for me, I think the 2nd book is rather good.

This is a brutal world for shifters, especially for the women. I liked the fated mates and in this world they don't always get their hea for lots of reasons. Rather angsty, blood and gore - I like it all!

I just finished His Viking Captive and am now onto Moonlight and Fire :)

been reading the Monstrous series by Lily Mayne. Just started Moth (book 5)

I'm in the middle of zodiac academy 8 sorrow and starlight.

The Quarry Master by Amanda Milo. Grumpy hero, sunshine heroine. He's an alien, she's human.

I just started our writer's group read of the month (On the Wings for Writers) -

This totally looks like a guilty pleasure kind of book...lol.

A "game" where if you lose you die. Hero (a blue alien) and heroine team up as nobody else wants to join them. 100 people enter the game, one leaves "Down to One".

Hero and heroine were both forcibly entered into the game against their will. They are slaves.

I liked how strong and resourceful and "coming up with ideas" the heroine was. She was smart and savvy.

The hero protected her very well and they both fell in love. But they thought their love was doomed because only one person can win the game.

The Deathless Girls Which was solid. I just finished it and I feel like it ended a bit too quickly. But I liked the attempt to craft a story about the women in the Stoker tale - I always did think Dracula got a bit too much of the spotlight!

The black dagger brotherhood series by J.R Ward. There is a lot of books in this series but it’s fantastic each book continues the story line. It has alot of sarcasm, love, sex and some tears.

I just started reading the first book in the Magical Midlife series by K.F. Breene and I am just dying of laughter! So far I am very happy with my reading and I enjoy it so much!

Goblin Candy by SJ Sanders. It was a cute read, with a Halloween theme. Hero is a goblin, she is a human witch who loves Halloween season.
