It’s good, not great, but I’m invested in finding the answers to the overall story arch. So far Python’s Embrace has been my favorite.

so far I've read:
Her Unwelcome Inheritance and
Wolf of the Tesseract
Currently I'm working on:
Must Love Dragons
and I'm Afraid You've Got Dragons (Though I'm not sure Peter S Beagle counts as indie).
The first two are definitely Urban Fantasy. The ones I'm currently working on are more standard fantasy. But I've got so many more to get to!

There are others, but these are my main focus right now.

Always loved me some Eve, Roarke and company solving crime. I do miss some personal aspects from the side characters

His fluids are black. He has special piercings "down there".
He says very funny things. He likes to talk dirty and call her his good girl.
The heroine's mother is very controlling so those scenes irritated me.
The hero is very obsessed with her. Because of his "issues" his employer makes him attend therapy regularly. His phone calls with his therapist made me laugh out loud.

I was disappointed to see that the other books written by this author had some themes I struggle with reading multiple love interest in a single book for a single character homosexual relationship which I don’t have a problem with by themselves. I just can’t read the intimate moments. I am very heterosexual and I don’t enjoy reading about same-sex partnership intercourse but I really enjoyed this book so I’m tempted to give some of these other books a try but i’m a little worried about these themes that I generally don’t read

But I am also reading

Now reading the Drowned Empire series

I really liked this book, and the trilogy, overall.

He is a shadow manipulator and magic sigil spellcaster. He has horns and can wrap shadows around himself and others and disappear. She is a witch. He is really in love with her.
She tries to hire him to spy on a bad guy who killed her only family member. The only payment he will accept is her permanent "witch bond" which links their life force.

Thank you, DemetraP. I have added this book. It sounds interesting.

My personal favorite book in the series is Faraway by Abigail Kelly. He is a merman. She is a witch who moves to a deserted island for work. She didn't know it was his island. He is so obsessed with her.
