Hi, my name is Jen and I live in Arizona. I LOVE LOVE to read. I love to buy books, it is a serious addiction. I love to own them! My husband thinks spending money on fiction is an oddity, so my buying has decreased, but oh well. Hasn't stopped me from reading CONSTANTLY! Anyway, I work and have 2 kids so I only get to read in the early morning and late at night. My favorite genre is fan/fic, but I'll read anything. I belong to a book club in AZ and our current read is "My Lobotomy". I don't really like memoirs. :-(

It's so true! The worst part is I prefer hard back so that really makes it even more expensive. I usually don't buy paperback unless I have no other option. :-)

Tricia, I'm in the same boat, not many of my friend s read and none really like to talk about what they read.
And for the Group reads, you don't have to read both books that get chosen, that's just so that there is a better chance that everyone will be able to get atleast on of the books to read. And it's ok that you can't read this months.

Okay, I'm normally not this talkative but I feel like typing so please excuse me. Having said that my name is Sarah and I am 23 years of age. I joined this group because I love reading!! I am not sure what I would do without reading. It is such a nice way to entertain yourself and take you to whole new worlds. Along with reading I also enjoy playing games on pogo.com and facebook.com so if you have either feel free to email me so that we can add each other.

Other than that I can tell you that I live in Ohio with my parent's and brother. We have 4 dogs and 1 cat all of which were rescued. I have 1 loving boyfriend who I share most of my weekends with. We will have been together 3 years March 18th. (The longest relationship I've had). I also just graduate from college and know how hard it is to find a job.

I enjoy making new friends and talking to people about a lot of things. Just feel free to PM me :).

Congadulation on graduating and your three year relationship. I'm starting university in the fall. I'm really nervous, but also kind of excited. How did you like college and what did you take?

Heather - I know how you feel about starting college. I was very shy before I started college but college is a time for new beginnings. So give it your all. I love learning so be sure to find something that you're going to enjoy! I studied Sociology.

That's cool, I'm going in for forensics science I think, which I'm really interested in so I think I'll like it. I'm just not looking forward to all the studying.

They're all here on Goodreads.

Hi sorry I forgot to post here first. Anyway, my name's, obviously, Christa. I'm 17 years old and I'm a senior in high school! I can't wait till I graduate!

OMG! I'm graduating this year too, it's so exciting isn't it? Are you going away to university or college in the fall?

My mom signed me up for gateway in the fall. XP
I wanted to go to Saint Exaiver, but, I'm only 17, so I've got no control.

That sucks, but are you moving away from home for that? And for me it's nothing big either, the university that I'm going to is not far from home at all, but I get to live on rez so that should be fun. And it's just nice to be almost finished high school.

Well I'd only have to go to Chicago and it's practically across the border from my house. Besides I have family in chicago, and they would take care of me if I went to Saint Exavier. But gateway's even closer, its like a half hour drive to gateway from my house, but I still don't think that going to gateway is going to help with my future career plans. I just wish my mom would realize that a technicall school isn't going to help someone who plans to major in literature.

Ya I'm glad my parent aren't making me do something like that. Is it only one year?

Hi everyone; I'm Sondra. I reside in northern Ohio. I cannot remember a time in my life when I was not reading. My favorite job was at a mom & pop bookstore, but I couldn't support myself coz I spent most of my $$ on books. Luckily I now live by a Half Price Books so my addiction is less costly. As a matter of fact I met a woman there who recommended this site; that is how I found this group. Nice to know there are other "lifers" out there!
