Lauren Smith Hmm... [stares at bookshelf for a while:].

It would have to be The Best American Erotica 2001 edited by Susie Bright. Ahem...

It really depends on who sees it though. I'd probably only be really embarrassed if a friend teased me about it, or if my boyfriend's parents spotted it.

Once I felt a bit embarrassed because I was reading a book on a plane, and the cover had a woman's foot in a high-heeled shoe on the cover. It had a dark, sexy look rather than a chick-lit look and I was worried someone might think I was reading a book about foot fetishes. It was so stupid :)

Lol can you remember the foot fetish books name? :P

I think the most embarrassing book i own is: A New Earth: Awakening to Your Life's Purpose, but it also only depends who sees it :)

Lauren Smith Portnoy's Complaint by Philip Roth.

It actually is about this guy's sexual obsessions and anxieties, but no foot fetishes :) Good book, and pretty funny.
I'd seen a smutty book about foot fetishes when I was working at EB, it was probably that that made me paranoid.

Ok embarrassing books... I always say I hate Afrikaans Romance Novels, their all the same, girl loves boy, boy breaks girls heart, girl goes away, falls inlove with another guy, other boy comes back blah blah blah, yet, I've read a few **blush**

Then steamy romances hahaha, a friends grandmother had a whole bookcase full of them, cant remember the names, but we would go through them.

Tracy (tracymm) | 43 comments Still have to read it - but I own it now.
You know the references some movie or comics have to How to win friends and influence people? I got it from my Grandma when she cleared out her bookshelves.

"Ok embarrassing books... I always say I hate Afrikaans Romance Novels"
That reminds me of a very embarrassing Afrikaans class in highschool. It was the last week of term and the teacher brought in this romance novel to read to kill time. She was getting us students to read it aloud, until we ended up with a VERY explicit sex scene taking place in the barn! Needless to say she did not bring the book back the next day but I’m sure it had a happy ending... ;D

Hahaha oh my word, I can just imagine that picture... my Afrikaans teacher was always very dramatic, so when she read she realy got into the story, so I can just imagine her reading that part, plus she was old...
