SSG: Spy/Spec-Ops Group discussion

I would also like to recommend Chris Stewart, (not the ex-hippie, the other one). He wrote The Fourth War, and the Third Consequence. An ex-pilot, always writes about planes. He is one of my favorites.

I have not read any of his books yet, but they look good. Maybe if we get enough people in this group we can pick a book to read and discuss.

I pciked up The Fourth war and read the first 18 pages. Seem very good, love the setting and the Stewart's writing style.

I am new to the group and I am crazy about the Presidential Agent Series and Charley Castillo. Vince Flynne is close, Jack Reacher is alright but I like the merry band that W.E.B. Griffin weaves into the plot. Can anyone suggest a similar series?

yes, the PA Series is good.

I would say the Mitch Rapp series by Vince Flynn,Horvath Series by Brad Thor, Sean Dillon series by Jack Higgins, Deep Black Series by Stephen Coonts

They all have a very different style but very much in the same category of this group.

As far as series go, I will try and list a few out of the norm some of you may like.

Who wrote the Presidential Agent Series? There are so many good books out now it's hard to keep up. Just finished Dead or Alive by Tom Clancy (Clancy is still the master), and am now reading American Assassin by Vince Flynn.
