Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Getting Stoned with Savages A Trip Through the Islands of Fiji and Vanuatu by J. Maarten Troost 47)Getting Stoned with Savages by J. Maarten Troost - a true story of escapism. Pretty funny and interesting so far.

The Girl Who Played with Fire (Millennium, #2) by Stieg Larsson 48) The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson - I know I am supposed to be reading only non-fiction to finish my 50, but my name came up on the wait list at the audio book store plus I just want to know what happens next.

Bonk The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex by Mary Roach 49)Bonk: The Curious Coupling of Science and Sex by Mary Roach - I loved her book "Stiff", so I thought I would try another one of hers. Though as I began to listen to it today, I didn't realize I was driving through a crowded parking lot with my window down. It wasn't until I realized people were staring at me as I passed with quizzical looks on their faces that I realized the sound was pretty loud. Hee-hee!!!! Ooops!!! Oh well, it sounds like it's going to pretty interesting, so who cares what people think.

I better get to reading...I keep starting new books before finishing the one before...it's time to finish them before moving onto the lucky #50...happy reading!!!

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Thanks Kate for the reccomendations!! Looks like an interesting list. I'll have to see which ones I can find. The last 2 are going to the top of my list for sure.

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris 50) Holidays on Ice by David Sedaris - I thought for the special #50 I needed something funny yet quick (I started it today and am already halfway through). I can't believe I made it to 50 - as my husband would say, "CHEE-HOO!!!!"

message 55: by Donna (new)

Donna | 1350 comments WTG! Congrats on your 50, and a nice choice. I love David Sedaris.

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Thanks Donna!!! I have only read 2 of David Sedaris' books so far. I am definitely going to have to read some more because I just crack up everytime and I really need that in my life right now.

51) Keys to the Demon Prison - I have really enjoyed this series so far and have been waiting for this book to become available. Can't wait to see what new characters and craziness are in store. Keys to the Demon Prison (Fablehaven, #5) by Brandon Mull

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (Millennium, #3) by Stieg Larsson 52) The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest by Stieg Larsson - Can't wait to find out how this series ends (though I am crossing my fingers that there are other manuscripts to release as rumored). I just watched the movie for "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" and was totally disappointed. I hope the American version is better at explaining the characters and the story and finds a girl better suited to play Salander.

Into the Gauntlet (39 Clues, #10) by Margaret Peterson Haddix 53) Into the Gauntlet - the last in the 39 Clues series. I have really enjoyed listening to and reading this series. I am going to be sorry to see it end. I guess that's why I am taking my time to get through it.

message 58: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) The Hunger Games (Hunger Games, #1) by Suzanne Collins 54) The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - I have heard so much about this series, that I decided to give it a try. I am actually almost finished with it and loving it so far.

A Living Nightmare (Cirque Du Freak, #1) by Darren Shan 55) Cirque du Freak: A Living Nightmare by Darren Shan - loved the movie, so I thought the books had to be good too. So far, they are actually very different, but still very good. Can't wait to finish it.

message 59: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3) by Rick Riordan 56) Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan - finally getting back to this series. I'm excited to find out what is in store for Percy.

message 60: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) The Vampire's Assistant (Cirque Du Freak, #2) by Darren Shan 57) Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant by Darren Shan - These books are easy to get through, but fun at the same time. This book is definitely not like the movie whatsoever, yet it's the book that bears the movie title. I think I am just getting to the good stuff though, so I must stop typing and get to reading.

message 61: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Tunnels of Blood (Cirque Du Freak, #3) by Darren Shan 58) Cirque du Freak: Tunnels of Blood by Darren Shan - still enjoying these and it helps that they are quick and fun reads.

message 62: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Big Fish by Daniel Wallace 57)Big Fish by Daniel Wallace - another movie I enjoyed, so I thought I would read the book. Here's to hoping it's good!!!!

message 63: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #4) by Rick Riordan 58) The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan - continuing on with the series as the last book really got me back into the story of Percy Jackson. I just love these characters. Can't get enough. And this book so far is fabulous. I was happy to come home sick from work today and just listen until I passed out.

Still anxiously awaiting for my name to come up on the wait list for "Catching Fire", the next book in the "Hunger Games" series. I even got my husband to listen to "Hunger Games" and he's asking me everyday if I got the e-mail yet saying that I could pick up the next book. AAAAHHH!!!! I hate waiting.

message 64: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins 59)Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins - My name finally came up on the waiting list and started listening to it already and am loving it. Can't wait to find out what happens.

message 65: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5) by Rick Riordan 60) The Last Olympian by Rick Riordan - Yes, I have made it to 60, though I hoped to be reading "Mockingjay" as my 60th since I am anxious to find out how the trilogy ends. I just finished "Catching Fire" tonight. "Mockingjay" wasn't in at the audiobook store, so I will finish the other series I can't wait to finish. What kind of mess will Percy Jackson and friends get themselves into this time? What new characters will come to life? Will they be friend or foe? Well, there's only one way to find out. Here goes!!!

message 66: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) The Ruins of Gorlan (Ranger's Apprentice, #1) by John Flanagan 61) Ranger's Apprentice: The Ruins of Gorlan by John Flanagan - I heard this was a great series, so I thought I would check it out. I seem to be in escape mode right now, so another action, adventure series is perfect. I hope.

The Red Pyramid (Kane Chronicles, #1) by Rick Riordan 62) The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan - I started reading this one when I forgot to bring a book to work and lord knows I can't make it through naptime without a book, so I got desperate and found an app. on my phone to download free books and this was the first interesting one to pop up. I really enjoyed the Percy Jackson series, so I gave it a try and so far I am actually liking it.

I am still waiting to "Mockingjay". I think I would be tolerating the wait better if my husband wasn't bugging me every second to see if our name came up on the list yet. I can't wait. I'm just keeping myself busy till then.

message 67: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Vampire Mountain (Cirque Du Freak, #4) by Darren Shan 63) Cirque du Freak: Vampire Mountain by Darren Shan - This is the 4th book in the series and my favorite so far. My husband has told me that I have to slow down on the amount of books I buy, so I have been downloading free ebooks. The majority of books available on the app. I downloaded seems to cater to young adult books, which is no biggie, I read a lot of YA. So here goes into the world of the ebook. How technology changes everything.

Trials of Death (Cirque Du Freak, #5) by Darren Shan 64) Cirque du Freak: Trials of Death by Darren Shan - can you tell I downloaded the rest of the series? I should get through these quick. They're fun, interesting and free.

Seriously considering asking for a Nook for my birthday. Anyone out there have? Do you like it? Not like it? Why?

message 70: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Allies of the Night (Cirque Du Freak, #8) by Darren Shan 68) Cirque du Freak: Allies of the Night by Darren Shan - Either I am reading incredibly fast or these free ebooks are seriously abridged. If they are abridged, I hope I'm not missing too much of the story.

message 71: by Jessica (new)

Jessica | 270 comments Would you mind sharing the website where you are getting the free e-books? I'm hoping to get a Nook for Christmas, but am worried that I'm going to spend even more money than on regular books, since you can buy and download them immediately and our library does not seem to carry many yet!

message 72: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Jessica, I have been downloading the books on my cell phone. The App on Android is called, "Laputa" and the site I grab from most through "Laputa" is called "Aveyewn". I've been checking out the Nook because I really like the new NookColor, but also because I hate reading on my tiny cell phone screen. I have to turn the page so often, it's annoying. From what I understand there are many free books for the nook too, many that are being released solely as ebooks by authors I like, and when i have checked out buying books for the nook, they are cheaper than buying the actual book. The Nook also gives you the option to share books with others, so if I can find lots of people with a nook, we could share and save money that way also. At least that's my hope. For my birthday I am asking for gift cards to buy it. Crossing my fingers that my plan goes as planned though I am still looking for more input from people who actually have a Nook. Let me know if you hear anything.

The Barnes and Noble near me is having a demonstration/mini-class about the Nook on Monday. I will definitely share if I get any more info regarding it. I would really like one, too, I'm just hoping they work on ways to rent/share books. My libarary's current e-book selection is really small so far, and I just would feel really bad if I read an e-book once, didn't like it, and couldn't even give it away :)

message 75: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Jessica, My husband took me to B&N on Friday to get me the new Nook for my birthday only to find out that it's backordered till Dec. 3rd. But while we were there I got to take a look at it and decided that I REALLY liked it. We put my name down to reserve one. Now, it's just a waiting game.

Sons of Destiny (Cirque Du Freak, #12) by Darren Shan 72) Cirque du Freak: Sons of Destiny (Book 12) - by Darren Shan

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1) by J.K. Rowling 73) Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone - by J.K. Rowling - I am re-listening to the series. This time when I started listening to it, I remembered the first time I read it and how excited I was to get to the next book, then I started thinking about how the whole thing is coming to an end. I have spent how many years reading these books, anxiously awaiting the next one, watching the movies and then anxiously awaiting the next one of those. I have read and listened to them over and over. What will life be like without waiting for some sort of Harry Potter Deadline? Weird. Just Plain weird.

message 77: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (fuzzybookworm) Undead and Unwed (Undead, #1) by MaryJanice Davidson 74) Undead and Unwed - by Mary Janice Davidson - I was searching around on my phone for something else to read and came across this series. I was actually looking for a non-fiction book, but they don't have a very good selection in that category. Oh well, hopefully these are a good to hold me over till I get my Nook and hopefully more free e-books to choose from.
