I just saw there is a new ABC drama called The Deep End. It is a legal drama. But Nicole Ari Parker is married to Billy Zane in it. They supposedly have a very stormy relationship. I might check it out.

I have satellite, no local channels, so I will not be able to watch it.

It is supposed to air on ABC this Thursday.

On the one hand, I am not thrilled with the idea of another run of the mill legal drama.

But on the other hand, how often is the high profile, kick-ass main litigator a black female? Who is in an IR marriage with the main alpha dog.

On the one hand, I am not thrilled with the idea that the marriage is a volatile one. They supposedly love each other but he is shark and his ambitions ego get in the way.

But on the other hand, I have always been a strong proponent of IR relationships in fiction having the same shading and nuances, the same ups and downs as non IR relationships.

But on the other hand... LOL, Tina. I know, so many factors.

Gah! I read the synopsis and I think I may pass on this one, too. I have a feeling it's another soap trope in how they will handle the IR relationship. Sigh. It sounded good, though (and yes Billy Zane did look pretty good, too)!

Tina Majorino sure grew up from Corrina, Corrina (love that movie).

I watched a little tonight, and the only interesting character appears to be the homewrecker. LOL. So it's a no-go for me. I only watched it because I came in too late to watch Vampire Diaries. *tear*

I watched a little bit. I liked the relationship between Billy Zane and Nicole Ari Parker. I thought they had great chemistry. I didn't find it contentious. The show is not that great in that it's a lot of sex at work going on. I really disagree with that. I know people do that, but it's very unprofessional, and it's kind of a pet peeve. I'll probably just watch it for BZ and NAP and read a book on the other scenes.
