I was pleasantly suprised by my second chance book - Vampire Academy. I had tried reading Succubus Blues when it first came out and couldn't finish it. I really enjoyed Vampire Academy. I've already gotten the next two books.

7 Down / 3 To Go *Wow I think that I might actually finish this month!*Just finished On the Edge by Ilona Andrews. I've tried reading the Kate Daniels series before and never really got into them. But since one of my other groups is spotlighting Ilona Andrews this month, I figured it was time for a second try. But I wanted to first start with a different series, so read On the Edge. I really enjoyed this book! I loved that although there was some romance, there was also a fantastic story to sink your teeth into. And the main characters two little brothers just kept me laughing! They reminded me a lot of the young Clay in Men of the Otherworld. Very fun read!

My last books was Immortals: The Calling by Jennifer Ashley. I really liked this book and this author. I also enjoyed A Quick Bite by Lynsay Sands. It's the first book of hers I've read and now I'm anxious to continue that series.

I am not feeling BDB Dark Lover Is there something wrong with me? I started Once Bitten and I am rather enjoying it so far. :) I may have to update my list if I don't continue Dark Lover soon LOL.
Dark Lover took a while for me to get into as well. But it did pick up, maybe around page 80 or so, I can't remember anymore, because once I got into it, I never looked back. BUT that's just me. For some people, it never picks up.

I love Shiver too! So excited for Linger!
Shiver was SO refreshing. The writing was just so fantastic. Simple, but complex. Sometimes YA books are so good because they just get to the point and don't describe how everyone looks and how they are feeling and what the room or building looks like. Shiver's take on werewolves was pretty darn cool, too. A good book like Shiver always makes me want to read more. It renews my love for books.

Shiver was fantastic. Great characters, excellent writing, a really cool take on werewolves. It will be hard to wait until mid-summer for the sequel. I highly recommend it.
Another great book from Elizabeth Vaughan. White Star continued right where Dagger-Star left off, but with different main characters. Vaughan does such a great job with mixing just the right amount of romance, magic, and adventure. I'm looking forward to her next book which she thoughfully and cleverly lets the reader know which characters will be the next books main characters. She continues to be my favorite author.
I was a little disappointed by Staked. There were some inconsistencies in the world that was created. Sometimes to the point of confusing the hell out of me. Lots of sarcasm and dry humor, which is good, decent characters and an okay plot. I'm sure I will read the sequel, but I'm not rushing out to buy it based on this book.
Well, I am glad that I gave the author of Angel of Mercy a second chance, but I won't be picking up the next book. I bought book 1 (Beg for Mercy) and this book at my library's used book sale last summer. After reading the first book at the beginning of the year, I had put it and this book aside to get rid of. I only spent a dollar total on them so I didn't really care if I hadn't read the second book. Now I can feel like I didn't waste any money, but I sort of wasted my time. I actually struggled to remember who was who and what had happened in the other book even though I read it 6 weeks ago. That says it all, the books are forgettable.
So, Karen Chance is totally my new favorite author and I wish Cassie was my BFF. I loved Touch the Dark, which I read last month, so I was hoping that Claimed By Shadow would be just as good, and it was fanatastic. I love all the characters and the whole world. I love the pace of these books. I'm so glad I bought the whole series and the spin offs so I can keep reading!

Im sorry to all the scifi lovers out there but Neuromancer was like pulling my teeth out very slowly. I just couldnt get into the book. Everytime I would start enjoying it something new would happen that I couldnt understand. I dont know how many times I went back and read whole chapters again and still had no clue what was going on. This is just my take on the book of course. It just wasnt for me i guess
