BloodLust 4/5 stars ****
I did enjoy this book. It was a light read, which was nice. It is about a family that moves into a upscale neighborhood of vampires. I am looking forward to reading the next 2 books in the series.
Poison Study 5/5 stars *****
I loved this book. I would have to say it is my favorite in the series. I read all three in a row because I couldn't stop. It has a love story, action, magic, a little bit of everything. I think it is a book that most people would enjoy reading.

Must Love Hellhounds really gets 4 stars because of Nalini Singh and Ilona Andrews. The Charlaine Harris story would probably only get 2 stars on its own, and the Meljean Brook would get three.

I know, what a name. Sparkle Stardust. And it started out with her, so I was thinking it didn't look good if she's naming her characters Sparkle Stardust. But then it got a lot better very quickly. Terrific book.

Well, having said that there were no PN elements in this book before I finished it--I have to take that back. Appearantly the sheriff (main character in the book) sees the ghosts of Old Cheyenne who cluster around a Sharps .45-70. The gun was, according to the story, the only one of the Sharps that were used by the Cheyenne and their allies at the Battle of the Little Big Horn that was not turned into the Army after the surrender of the Cheyenne later. This was supposed to be a murder mystery, but I'd figured out who did it by half way through the book, so it wasn't a real "head-scratcher" as they say. But I enjoyed the story telling and meeting the cast of characters. Some were strange, some funny, but all were interesting, including the murderer.
Well, 1 more to go, but I need to go set up the embroidery machine and start stitching out a piece of embroidery that I need for a mini-quilt. Will work on figuring out which of 3 books by author's with "B" in their name I want to read while its stitching.

I got a bit distracted by a Danielle Steel book, so this month has gone to hell in a handbasket. Hopefully I can get Storm Front finished. Dead as a Doornail was OK, wasn't as good as Dead to the World - the story was lacking something (a little bit of sex maybe), but it was still good.

Sherry...I feel like that most of the time with these challenges! Some months, it feels like I've created a list of what I am NOT going to read! Sometimes, I just like looking through my bookshelves trying to fill the categories...sad, I know.

That's pretty much what happens to me too! But then sometimes I'll read a book that I've put into a challenge that I had been putting off for a while and it turns out to be really good! So, I try not to stress out too much and just have fun with these challenges.

Oh, boy, does he ever! Tate has a HUGE role in the books!

Congratulations! Just finished my first challenge a few days/weeks ago too. A great feeling!

Yay! Sandra!! Congratulations!!!
Congrats Sandra. I'm working on the last book in my challenge right now--now I just have to wait for hubby to go back to work tomorrow. He's off today because, heaven forBID they should let him work some over-time, ya know?
Sandra and Melissa--I don't usually make up a list ahead of time--that way I don't have to change the books on it because the few times that I DID make lists, I don't think I read a single book on them. So I decided that I would just wing each month (except that 1 month when Fearless Leader made us select our books ahead of time and decreed that we could NOT change them. That was a really hard month for me.) :oP
