maybe it's just me, but I'm sure PKD didn't write a book called 'Groundhog Day'.

;)

Le Guin's "The Lathe of Heaven" has been mentioned twice already, I just finished it a week ago, but it's definitely Dickian and a good book

I also just finished Delany's "Babel-17", which is discussed in posts 45 thru 48 here. I found myself thinking of PKD while reading. It's definitely a good peer to compare to PKD's book of the same era. I had trouble deciding if it's fair to call it Dickian or not. It think it may be a stretch to make strong comparisons, but the fact that PKD came to mind must mean something. I'd certainly call it a great book and recommend it to PKD fans

hopefully Dick was 'fully clothed' when you were thinking of him whilst reading that Delaney book.

;)

Someone mentioned Stanislaw Lem, and maybe yes, I read The Futurological Congress and it was INSANE.

Hertzan Chimera (hertzanchimera) | 225 comments Here's a new one I've just read, add it to the list, "Tomorrow and Tomorrow" by Thomas Sweterlitsch:

David Tamarin (davidltamarin) | 4 comments This has probably been mentioned before but William Gibson and Neuromancer, which is very Blade Runner-esque.

I agree about "The Lathe of Heaven". If anything it's more Dickian than Le Guinian. I am generally not a big fan of Le Guin except for this novel.

Simon (toastermantis) | 26 comments Good call, "The Lathe of Heaven" feels very different from say "The Left Hand of Darkness" or "The Dispossessed".
