message 273: by Brittany (new)

Brittany Danowski I usually read a novel that's non in death then an in death book however I just started a sci fi trilogy by Mercedes lackey and James Mallory the obsidian trilogy and am now on book two to light a candle, she is very detailed and the characters are relatable and I lose myself between their trials and successes , however once I finish the third I will pick out a in death series and continue my habit. if any one likes sci fi fantasy I would suggest you put it on your reading list

I've just started Backstage Pass (Sinners on Tour, #1) by Olivia Cunning ...few pages in and they're already in bed. We'll see where this goes..good recommendations. But I'm getting a bit tired of books that have sooooo much sex - page after page after page, and that's just the first night. I love good romantic sex scenes but come on...a few hours after meeting???

Then just drop this book and the series altogether. They have their romance, but sex is a VERY large part of it. I really like them and I think you should give it a chance, but you'll figure it out. :)

I didn't mean to say I don't like the sex scenes...I'm 50 percent in now and still reading so...It just seems a little excessive. But I can now definitely see that they have fallen for each other big time. I'll be finishing it for sure!

Yep. Read it and I really liked it too, but the first one is my favorite so far. Yeah, the third one is going to be out on august, I think. Numbers 4 and 5 are already out, but I like to read my series in order. ;)

Elizabeth (ezepeze11) | 582 comments I'm currently reading (almost finished with, actually) E is for Evidence by Sue Grafton. Once I'm done with that I'm reading 10th Anniversary by James Patterson :) I'm pretty excited about it.

I also just finished Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and I'm not QUITE sure what I thought about it. Did anyone else read it, and if so what are your thoughts? I read Pride and Prejudice but it was kinda blergghh so I didn't remember much of it

Did you like Sue Grafton?

message 289: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (ezepeze11) | 582 comments Ehhhh I'm actually not a giant fan of hers, the whole tone of the ABC series is really drab to me. It might be because the beginning of this series was written in the 80s! I'm going to read them all the way through though, so as things get more recent (aka people stop using phone booths and looking things up in phone books) I might start liking it better. Not that those things are the reason I'm not overly fond of them. It's also weird to read something that was written before 9-11!

Like the couple first books of the ID series (even though it's in the future--or maybe because it's in the future) always are a little weird for me! Especially because the Twin Towers are even mentioned in one.

message 300: by Aiesha (new)

Aiesha (bigtexasaj) I finished the Quincy/Rainie series by Lisa Gardner and although I did enjoy the series, I didn't care of the final book, Say Goodbye. I did NOT like the subject matter of the book and the series ended up focusing too much on Kimberly and not enough on Quincy & Rainie!

I have now started reading the Nikki Heat series by Richard Castle. It's a short series of only 4 books and it starts with Heat Wave. So far, so good. I'm loving Nikki Heat's character & personality!
