Susan I am definitely going to check out the library. I don't have a library card, but I am definitely going to get one and look for Thankless.

I just went to mine a little while ago and they've added every book by Nora now, specifically those that hadn't been in eBook format (her earlier works). I can now get the MacGregors series and more.

message 403: by Susan (new)

Susan Hey, that's great news! The MacGregors series is good.

Her Irish books are fantastic...

I really love the MacGregors series...great one. I also love the ebooks being in digital libraries. Great move for voracious readers!

message 406: by Nina (new)

Nina (msralways) | 53 comments Read Always On My Mind (Lucky Harbor, #8) by Jill Shalvis which was amazing and I love Jill Shalvis' writing so damn much. Finished Cage (Corps Security, #2) by Harper Sloan today and it was another 5 stars read for me. Now I'm delving into New York city in the year of 2060 with our favorite crime fighting couple: Eve and Roarke with Born in Death (In Death, #23) by J.D. Robb .

message 407: by Maggie (new)

Maggie | 1576 comments Just finished Possession in Death, LOVED it, it would have made a great novel! Getting ready to start Chaos in Death.

How did you like My Favorite Mistake, Maggie?

message 409: by Maggie (new)

Maggie | 1576 comments Hated it!! Don't know if you've read Beautiful Disaster( I loved it), this seemed to be a very poor rip- off of that book. I didn't care about either character and could have cared less if they got together!

message 410: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
I loved Beautiful Disaster too. Won't waste time with this one though...thanks for that info.

message 411: by Maggie (new)

Maggie | 1576 comments This book is the reason why I very rarely buy books from authors I'm not familiar with!

message 412: by Sharon (new)

Sharon Michael I've just finished Swamp Sniper by Jana Deleon , the third book in a series which starts with Louisiana Longshot (Miss Fortune Mystery #1) by Jana Deleon .

It's a cozy, but not your usual type ... the main character is a young, blonde kick-ass CIA agent who is hiding out in a small LA town because of a price on her head from terrorists ... and she reminds me just a bit of Eve Dallas!

However, in this southern town, she gets involved with a 'dangerous duo' of elderly female ex-Viet Nam agents, who run the town behind the scenes ... and what follows include some classic Three Stooges type chase scenes.

The first book was $.99 ... my usual limit with a new to me author. The next two were actually a bit over what I like to pay for eBooks from new authors, but I only flinched a little bit and can't wait for the next one to come out.

Always awesome to discover new books or author and find you want to read more! I'm reading Raphael (Vampires in America, #1) by D.B. Reynolds right now.

Sheri Morell (smorell22) | 2165 comments I am currently reading a Eve Duncan trilogy (Eve, Quinn, Bonnie trilogy) I am on the third book and I absolutely am loving it...I have never read the Iris Johansen books before these and now I want to start at the very beginning...I am definitely hooked

Finished Raphael (Vampires in America, #1) by D.B. Reynolds , Bound by Night (MoonBound Clan Vampires, #1) by Larissa Ione and Take This Regret (Take This Regret, #1) by A.L. Jackson - all good but different reads. I'll be starting Ceremony in Death (In Death, #5) by J.D. Robb this weekend.

message 419: by Aiesha (new)

Aiesha (bigtexasaj) I've finished the first 4 books of Richard Castle's Nikki Heat series. I'm waiting to read the 5th one, Deadly Heat (Nikki Heat, #5) by Richard Castle Deadly Heat, when the price goes down or the library gets it. I've now started the Will Trent series by Karin Slaughter. It starts with Triptych (Will Trent, #1) by Karin Slaughter Triptych. I loved the Grant Co series so I'm excited to get into this one.

I'm also reading 10th Anniversary (Women's Murder Club, #10) by James Patterson 10th Anniversary, which I listened to on audiobook but didn't retain in my memory. I guess I can't concentrate enough for audiobooks lol!!

message 420: by Jonetta (new)

Jonetta (ejaygirl) | 15057 comments Mod
Aiesha, I thought Triptych was really good! I read it first and backtracked to begin the Grant County series.

I'm adding Triptych to my list...the synopsis is intriguing and a bit chilling!

I just finished Take This Regret. I read it as a break between so many action & pnr books. It's a very poignant, heartbreaking book. My only problem is that the angst went on too long. The heroine withheld her forgiveness to the point that I lost sympathy for her.

It is not for the faint of heart! It was recommended that I start with the Grant County series first because there is character crossover so I went back and began with Blindsighted.
Blindsighted (Grant County, #1) by Karin Slaughter

message 424: by Sandra (new)

Sandra Hoover (sandrahoover) | 11212 comments Mod
So Blindsighted & series should be read before Triptych?

That is one of the things I use my Goodreads list for. I keep shifting them around as I add new books. I know it isn't anything final, but it helps. I was so glad when I discovered that I could have it numbered. Before that it was just a huge list. I only put a small portion of my TBR's on their except when I tried to import some of my kindle list. I need to week that one. I do week my TBR which only covers books that I do not own, yet. Love Goodreads. I never imagined having over a thousand books to read, even when I was a librarian.

That has to the be the borrowers Kindle email address. I almost missed that the first time I lent a book from my Kindle Library since one Nook, I can connect directly with the person borrowing.

Maybe it's the name...maybe it's some of the hype..I don't know. I do want to read it and will. I was the same with Pleasure Unbound and that whole series - finally jumped in and haven't finished that first book yet. I'm a big pnr fan but sometimes there is so much world building that the story gets lost for me.

I love big binges like that. I did Christene Feehan's Ghostwalker series last Christmas vacation.
