Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I rarely laugh at zombie comedy. I chuckled a few times in Dead Alive and Shaun of the Dead but it was like they were trying to hard. I laugh when people fall IRL. If they could just transfer that kind of humor to the screen I'll be entertained.

Larry (hal9000i) Bad Taste was awful. The bit where the guy drinks spinal fluid nearly made me chuck!

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments OMG! That is nasty. Speaking of spines, I hate that scene in The Exorcist when Regan is having that spinal tap done. Makes my back spasm.

Rachel | 1434 comments Speaking of bad Peter Jackson films, anyone here ever seen Meet The Feebles?

message 55: by Guido (new)

Guido Henkel (guidohenkel) | 244 comments Yes, indeed, funny film and very "different." I also love "Frighteners," his first Hollywood movie.

Rachel | 1434 comments I have seen Meet The Feeble so many times it's gone from bad to brilliantly funny. I've tried to watch Frighteners but i never catch it from the beginning which makes me lose interest.

I know a really cheesy movie that's so much fun to watch; 'Killer Klowns from Outer Space'

You should watch Meet the Feebles, any Jackson fan should see it.

I think Guido has seen it, I've seen it more times than anyone should...

Jerrod (liquidazrael) | 706 comments Ah the great stuff they dared do before their names graced the marque.

Guido Henkel (guidohenkel) | 244 comments Yes, indeed. I am a fan of "The Lord of the Rings," too, though, but I miss the more subversive stuff Peter used to do.

message 62: by Scott (new)

Scott I wish he'd do more quality stuff like Heavenly Creatures.

message 63: by Tressa (new)

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I've been wanting to see Heavenly Creatures for years, and I finally saw (most of) it. As much as I like Kate Winslet, her overacting just ruined it for me. The other actress is much better and I don't even know who she is. Winslet has toned down her acting as she's gotten older, but I found her very awkward in her first (?) big role.

message 64: by Scott (new)

Scott I always thought Melanie Lynskey was the one who should have made it big, but she's probably not conventionally pretty enough for the masses.

Tressa (moanalisa) | 19903 comments I thought she was really cute when she smiled. But her character was supposed to scowl a lot and I guess she didn't shine as much as Winslet when Winslet was chewing up the scenery.
