Hi Liz. Welcome. I love St. Vincent and Derek Craven. Zsadist too! Totally agree with you on #4!

@Cammy, you are so right, it's all about the journey from hard shell to gooey center -- all the good and the bad. :)
Welcome Cammy! I loveee both Tate and JZB!
Hi there Liz! Derek Craven is in my top 5 favorites of all time. Something about him always breaks my heart a little, but that makes me love him all the more!!

Joined this group basically because i like Dangerous Heroes and happy find same people who like the same thing.
Who is your dangerous hero(es)? so many but now Wrath Dark Lover.
Why do you like dangerous heroes? Because they Hot, make me melt, and if they fall in love, they love so deep.
1. SJ Thomas
2. I love dangerous heroes, in particular all the ones listed in the group discription. I also write paranormal romance and its great too see what readers are looking for
3. I love the LOTU but my favorite is Torin - yum!!
4. Whats not to like - danger, passion, strength, a six pack!! And the thought of being the woman to tame him!

2. Because I have an unhealthy obsession with alpha males and this sounds like fun
3. I simply must borrow Mac's life philosophy: I am, therefore I want to fuck Jericho Barrons.
I also have a very special spot for Zsadist in my heart and fangirl Vishous more than is appropriate.
4. Because every strong female just needs an alpha male to tame her and vice versa. Dangerous territorial possessive jerks are also most fun to read about. Not to mention their stories always result in dangerous, steamy one hell of a ride. What can be more addictive than strong, muscular, passionate, flawed epitome on manliness?

My fave men are basically all Linda Howard's heroes and Anne Stuart's heroes, especially The Ice Series and her House of Rohan series. I love Alpha's, but they shouldn't be *holes either. That was acutally how I got to Gamma Males. So interesting. Not really into Betas.
Recommendations are welcome. I've never read JR Ward, but I'm not really into Paranormal. I've heard good things.
Good to be here.
Aruana
PS O yes, that pic of Clive Owen - swoon! He is one of my fave actors, together with Daniel Craig and Russell Crowe. They are my alpha symbols.

I joined this group, because I find dangerous heroes to be irresistible, and I'm hoping to find more book recommendations to add to my super-chunk of a to-read list. :-)
As for my favorites;
Does Jamie Fraser from the "Outlander" series qualify? He's no danger to Claire, but he certainly gets himself into plenty of trouble, he can be lethal, and he has a tortured past which makes him all the more swoon-worthy when he does show his vulnerability.
I also love the Black Dagger Brother hood series!
And another of my new favorite books is "Knight in Black leather" by Gail Dayton.
And why do I like bad boy heroes? It's just that much hotter when they finally decide to show you their soft side!

I've got two grandchildren, a boy 26 months and a girl 7 months, and another due around New Year's, gender yet to be determined. I don't envy my son and d-i-l handling three under the age of three.
I've two sons, the daddy is 31 in sales and the standup comic (yes, he is) who is 28. He's got the best day jobs...testing games for Microsoft and ground crew on Quest Field, where he gets to see professional soccer and football while on the job. Both look like my ideal of a hero. I've two lovely daughters, the older is nearly 25 at Chicago's Art Institute studying fashion merchandising for a ridiculous tuition amount per year, she did a lot of junior college credits before transferring there. The newlywed is 23 and just finished Aveda beauty school, she's assisting at an exclusive salon awaiting the time they'll turn her loose on the floor.
I'm an avid knitter and budding knitwear designer as well as a voracious reader. (My handle on Ravelry is scoutrmom if you'd like to visit me there.) I read 512 books in 2011, I'm shooting for 365 this year.
My favorite dangerous heroes are the men written by Christine Feehan.

2. Why you joined? - found about it from a friend on GR and I am a sucker for a bad boy. :)
3. Who is your dangerous hero(es)? I've just started reading BDB, so Zsadist of course. My love of dangerous heroes started with historical romance and my absolute favorites are Sebastian from The Devil in Winter and Derek Craven from Dreaming of You. I also love Eric from the Sookie books.
4. Why do you like dangerous heroes? I love the transformation -- watching the right woman get through the hard shell to the gooey center. :)
