Hey! So I'm not technically a new member since I've been on this group for a few months and posted on other discussion boards, but I never did the whole introduction thing, so I thought I would.

My name's Jillian,
I joined actually for a school project, but I chose it specifically because I have such an obsession with romance novels (one my teacher shares), particularly ones with dangerous heroes.

I got into reading romance because of sherrilyn Kenyon, but I found all her characters to basically be the same person. I really like Lisa Kleypas' Nikolai from Prince of Dreams. Out of Kenyon's books, Acheron is definitely my favorite. He's good but he's bad...like heaven in a cup.

I don't know if I can articulate my obsession with DHs, but any romance I do read has a DH, and I usually avoid romance novels without one.

Just some suggestions: The Fever Series by Karen Moning and the Carpathian Series by Christine Feehan. They both have paranormal elements, but I think you'll enjoy the heroes.

Thanks for the recommendations Dawn. I started the Carpathian Series a long time ago but stopped when I got distracted with other books. I need to start from the beginning.

Welcome you guys! Mandy I just started the first book in the Order of the Blade. I've heard a lot of good things about the series.

Btw I've found some sexy-as-hell gammas in the romantic suspense genre. Not many sex scenes, but enough sexual tension to singe the pages. Best examples: Coburn in Sandra Brown's "Lethal." He lacks the murdery impulses of Stuart's Ice men, but he's quite kidnappy and sexually threatening.

So many to choose from. I like Knight, Tate and Tack from Kristen Ashley right now.

Because they are strong, over protective, bossy and sometimes tortured. Mostly because they make me shiver and keep reading. Also love a potty mouth.
