A whole bunch of books that I've been on waiting lists for from the library came in... all at once! Now I have to wait to read some of the books I wanted to read this month (specifically Hero of Ages and a couple others) in order to get through all of them. I'm kinda disappointed but I don't want to go to the back of the line again! That's what I get for trying to plan out my reading I guess.

Elena I just finished The Bone Doll's Twin but I don't plan to continue with the series.

I am about to start The 13th. And then The Kult and Boneshaker. I am in an horror mood.

How did you like DANCING ON THE HEAD OF A PIN, Julia? I didn't think it was quite as good as A KISS BEFORE THE APOCALYPSE. I also loved his short story in MEAN STREETS. It's what prompted me to read AKBTA.

message 15: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I finished Born to be Bad by Sherrilyn Kenyon. It really was BAD.

I started Ravenous by Sharon Ashwood. I'm on about chapter 5 and it's pretty good so far.

message 17: by Julia (new)

Julia | 119 comments Melodie,

I gave A Kiss Before the Apocalypse a 5, Dancing on the Head of Pin a 4 and the book Mean Streets a 4. (I didn't care for the Simon R. Green novella. The other three were great!) I liked DotHoaP just fine, but it wasn't a revelation, like AKBtA was. I would like it if the series ended with that book, but that is not to be. He's writing another Remy Chandler novel, according to his website.

I gave AKBTA 5 stars, too. I also gave MEAN STREETS 5 stars just for the Sniegoski & Butcher stories. I only gave DOTHOAP 3 stars. The next one, Where Angels Fear to Tread (Remy Chandler, #3) by Thomas E. Sniegoski , comes out in March. Am hoping I like it much better!

message 20: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) Amanda, Good to hear that Ender's Game is good. I'll probably read it next.

message 21: by Carolyn (new)

Carolyn (cwelch88) | 4 comments I just finished Camella Jackson Manifest Vampire by Michael Greer. It stated that it was a different kind of vampire book. Well, it is. This is just the first book that seem to be a long series. I would totaly recomment the book to everyone. You can only get it on kindle right now. The cost was 2.99 I think. I read it on my pc kindle.

message 22: by Carolyn F. (new)

Carolyn F. I just finished An Enchanted Season and A Kiss of Fate: A Novel. Both of those were solid 3s. I'm reading Master of Ecstasy and Nina Bangs. This book is pretty funny - reminds me of Kresley Cole.

message 25: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I'm not going to finish 4 of my predicted books. Work and quilting keeps getting in the way! I'll roll those over to March.

message 26: by Shanon (new)

Shanon (boban) | 1166 comments Mod
I think that's the case for me every month too Paula. Either I get sidetracked by other books or sidetracked by other projects/life and I'm not able to get to my "planned" books.

message 27: by Paula (new)

Paula (pauldajo) I also read books not on the list and sneek them onto the list which crowds the other unread books out. I hope to start with those in March. Though, I will always interupt my reading for my favorite series books!

message 28: by Jennifer (new)

Jennifer (jnhart) Right now, I'm reading A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) by George R.R. Martin and The Dead Girls' Dance (The Morganville Vampires, #2) by Rachel Caine

message 29: by Amanda (new)

Amanda (aeriga) I just finished Lover Revealed (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #4) by J.R. Ward and im going to read Lover Unbound (Black Dagger Brotherhood, #5) by J.R. Ward next. I really just want to finish the series before all the new books for 2010 come out :)
