Okay, my best bet would be to post a link to my blog where I have a page with my fave authors and authors that I read. To repeat the list would take me about another 10 to 15 minutes to type them all in. However, please keep in mind, the list is getting outdated, LMAO!

My family thinks it's strange that my two favorite genres are romance and fantasy...the other authors I read are: Julia Quinn, Mercedes Lackey, J.R.R. Tolkien, Carly Phillips, Christina Skye, Sara Douglass

Oh my goodness, Julie Garwood, Jayne Ann Krentz, Elizabeth Lowell, M.C. Beaton, Christine Feehan, Karen Moning, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Suzanne Frank, Cussler, well.....OMG! lots!! LOL

Melissa, your two genres aren't that far apart. I mean, what is a romance novel if not a fantasy? Men who are strong and capable, love their wives and children wholeheartedly, do heroic and brave things while being sweet, loving and great in bed, etc etc - sounds like a fantasy to me! :-D

I love Mercedes Lackey, Jude Deveraux, Iris Johansen, Julie Garwood, Spider Robinson, Dean Koontz, (looking at my bookcase now because I can't think of anything else off the top of my head) Oh! Elizabeth Lowell, Catherine Anderson, Carolly Erickson and oh gosh, I could go on forever. ♠

I am on a Mercedes Lackey glom now. Just finished The Silver Gryphon. There are a lot of great fantasy novels with strong romantic stories. I highly recommend Patricia Wrede's Sorcery and Cecelia or the Enchanted Chocolate Pot. It is like a regency romance novel with magic.

Also like J.R. Ward, Megan Whalen Turner, Jayne Ann Krentz/Amanda Quick, Lynne Flewelling, J.K. Rowling, Dorothy Sayers, Marian Babson, and Elizabeth Pope to just name a few.

I just discovered Janice Maynard. Loved "Hot Mail".

Melody, i also love reading Nicholas Sparks, i've read all of his books! I adore Stephanie Myers as well, the Twilight Saga was awesome.
I like Sophie Kinsella too and Jodi Picoult is a fantastic author.

I Just went to the Highland games yesterday and met Amanda Scott. i think Ihave read a couple of her books in teh past but she was so friendly I ended up buying her new trilogy. She even signed them for me. There were a couple of other authors there Kathleen Nance and another I am not familiar with but it was fun to see them there. anyway I am excited to read her

You got to meet Kathleen Nance? Wow, so lucky! I loved her Olympus trilogy!

Yeah I think it was her. I might be getting the name wrong though. it was one that I have heard of. I loved Kathleen Nances djinn series. I have not gotten to read the olympus one yet.

i like catherine anderson, rachel gibson and susan anderson tooo there are more but them are the best others authors to me.

This is hard since I read so many genres and have honestly lost track of all the authors. From the top of my head:
Suzanne Brockman, Linda Howard, some Julie Garwood, Cait London, Bevery Barton, Cherry Adair, Lori Leigh, Marliss Melton, Kay Hooper, Maggie Shayne, Lori Foster, Jayne Ann Krentz...so many more.

I also read Anne Rice and then authors in the action genre like the various writers who still write Don Pendleton's Executioner series titles, Keith Douglass, Chet Cunningham, Tolkien, Franklin W. Dixon (yes, I still like to read my Hardy Boys, lol) and I'd have to dig the lists out to name them all.

Janet Evanovich, Stephenie Meyer, Jude Deveraux, Sandra Brown, LaVerle Spenser, Judith McNaught, Jayne Ann Krentz.and the list goes on.
The problem is they don't write them fast enough. If I find a book I like then I hunt down the rest from an author.

linda howard is a good author also i read one of her books and i don,t know what book i should read next of hers

I've read a lot of Dean Koontz; Robin Cook; John Saul; Jean Auel series; James Patterson; and Tami Hoag in the past. I love Nora Roberts and have yet to find a book of hers that I don't really like. Right now I'm reading other books on my "Beth to read" shelf but I'm feeling the need for another NR book. Time to put some on hold at the library I think.

yeah nore is good and so dean i read 2 of his books and i liked them

I will read most anything. The last book I read was "The Lucky One" by Nicholas Sparks, and "Twilight" both were very good. The last Nora book was " Vision in White"

My all time favorite author is Sherrilyn Kenyon then Nora Roberts, then Kelley Armstrong:) I also read A LOT of other books and authors though:) nicholas sparks, L.J. Smith, Jude Deveraux, Charrline Harris, stephine meyer, and J.K. Rowling are just a few!!

I really loved the Night World series, by L.J. Smith, I re-read them often =]

Yah that is the only books I've rad by L.J. Smith but they are amazing I own all of them and can't wait for strange fate to come out!

OMG ME TOO!! I am so excited=] I'm annoyed that its coming out in hardcover, because I want to buy it right away but i have the others in paperback and I'm kinda OCD about having all the books in a series in the same type of cover...I might give in and buy Strange Fate in hardcover...I'm going to want to buy it so badly, lol.

Same here:) haha I have a couple series that have mixed in hard cover and paperback but i would prefer to have strange fate in paper back.. sigh

I know =/ It's so stupid...I don't even think that the books that have three-in-one are published in a hard cover version...*sigh*

Jessica if you love Sherrilyn Kenyon so much you should try Christine Feehan's Dark series.

I love that series. Its pretty long though. I have heard good things about Sherrilyn Kenyon, I eventually want to try her books. Christine Feehans Ghostwalker series is pretty good too.

Yeah it is. Then there's the Anita Blake series if you're into the vampire thing. Lots of people liken Nora Robert's writing to Laurell K Hamilton and vice versa.

Ugh, I would definitely not liken Nora's writing to LKH, and have never heard them compared before. LKH was recommended to me by several people, seeing as I love Rebecca York's werewolf series. I had to force myself through the one I tried. Neither the story, the characters or author's voice grabbed me. In fact, I felt completely turned off by the world she had created in general. I'd say whether LKH appeals to you or nor depends on what kind of fantasy you like.

Too true. LKH isn't my complete and total favorite but I do enjoy some of her books. Not like I enjoy Nora's alias JD Robb. I can read her over and over and over again. LOL.

LOL! I am a fan of LKH's Merry Gentry series and a fan of almost all of NR's paranormal books. However, I have to feel a little sorry for anyone who have LKH recommended purely on the basis of a person liking NR. They are so different! I mean, I have read some complaints about the sex scenes in a NR romance. The stuff that LKH writes could fry your eyeballs out! ;)

My other favorites are Lori Foster, Erin McCarthy, Carly Phillips, Susan Anderson and just started reading Rachel Gibson.

I will read anything by Janet Evanovich, Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Jennifer Crusie, Susan Anderson, Susan Donovan, Wally Lamb, Christopher Moore, Jodi Picoult and Sandra Hill. Rarely have I been let down by any of these authors.

There are so many, but I like Catherine Coulter, Stuart Woods, David Baldacchi, J.K. Rowling, David Eddings, Lilian Jackson Braun, Sue Grafton, Patricia Cornwell, Dorothy Sayers, P.D. James, Agatha Christie, Tess Gerritsen, Linda Howard, Kay Hooper, and J.D. Robb is one of my all time favorites (of course she's Nora Roberts so I don't know if that counts as a different author.) There are lot of others, but I can't think of them right now.

Wow, Jennifer, you really hit the nail on the head there. I actually read the whole LKH Merry Gentry series - it was different and that's one of the reasons I liked it. But the sex scenes were certainly different than Nora's. And this series is more an erotica series where Nora's or more realistic and not as big a part of the storyline. I also tried the Anita Blake series, but this one was just a little too over the top.
