Bald Hero - Yeah or Nay?

I think I'd be perfectly ok with a hair challenged man as long as he loved me, treated me well and was honorable. And well muscled ;)

Yes, Tom was losing his hair.

I have read one or two with a bald hero. But the author made them sound soooooooo enticing that who cares. There are some cuties in movies and tv that definately look fine. I'd have a problem with a partially bald guy with a comb over though.

Stan in Over the Edge by Suz Brockmann was bald, wasn't he? I loved him. In my mind, he is not ugly.
Jason Statham is going bald, and I could care less. He's hot.
Bruce Willis is another sexy bald guy.
And then there's Vin Diesel.
Enough said.
So I can deal with a bald hero. Like Pamela, I hope they go bald gracefully. No combover, please :)

I've read Over The Edge for Sam and Alyssa. I've read about Stan and Terri, but I don't remember if Stan was bald or not. I know that he didn't want people coming to his house.
I have to agree. Bruce Willis is a sexy bald man. I think his baldness made him more sexier.

A lot of men like to shave their head, because they like the bald look.
A hero probably didn't go bald, maybe he likes to shave his head, because he likes the bald look.

Definately NO NEED for shiny! haha But hair..no hair.. doesn't matter to me.
I can see a hero being bald, especially if he's a navy seal, bodyguard, hitman, sharpshooter, eraser, etc.
Shoot, I know in one of Elizabeth Hoyt's books, one of her heros(it was in the Legend of the Soldiers series) has his head...I think the words were his hair had been "clipped to the skin".....I pictured it like a brush cut, but being a barber...thats just what I would see. I prefer hair(on me my heros be that my real one ;) or in my books).

Oh, and he was adorable in a bad-ass way. :)

LOL, for me depends on what I'm reading. Contemporary then no, not even if the guys a stripper, but historical......pre 1700 and were or vamp then yes. I read some erotic SciFi where the guys have long hair and that didn't seeem out of place.
I'm not overly fond of long hair on a guy. I think shoulder length hair can be sexy, especially if it has body and curl. I like a ponytail, well kept, and a braid on a ninja-type guy. I don't like long, messy, stringy hair on a man (like the hair band dudes). It's a yuck factor for me.
I find I like thinking about Phury's long, glorious, multicolored locks! And my husband, Nik from the Cal Leandros books, had long hair he kept in a ponytail in Nightlife. He cut it off when he thought his brother was dead.

I will speak for myself. When I read a book, I'm reading for the hero. I might like his heroine. But, my main focus is on the hero.

this is a post from another group I am a member of, but after seeing Cristy's post as a comment in my email, I almost split my pants laughing and had to share.

Well there was Quinn in the later Sookie Stackhouse novels. He was big, bronze, and bald. And a weretiger, which made him even sexier. Not technically a hero but he was Shmokin'.
But long hair or no hair, I just love Man.
Like Jason Statham....oh, Jesus. If he would just give me one night, JUST ONE. God could go on and take me out anything after that and I'd be fine.
Yes, Jason is so hot. I love the scene in The Transporter where he and Lai are about to do their thing. Or the sexy scenes in Transport 3. That could be me! LOL.

I graduated high school in 79 (showing my age OHNO!)
Didn't much care for the disco scene nor the heavy metal sound but I really love the rock and pop from those years.

lol my personal fashion was t-shirts and jeans (hip huggers). I got a pic of my hubby back then with long red hair and wearing a polyester suit complete with big tie. haha

Ooh, love me some Picard! Did I mention Billy Zane is a hot bald man. I was telling my sister, I keep picturing him wearing a loincloth and nothing else. He has a very anciently-beautiful thing going on with his baldness, because of his classic features. I could see him as a Pharoah.

Billy Zane looks different bald. But the bald look fits him. A few weeks ago, I've seen him in a suspense movie. I have caught like the last 30 minutes of the movie. He was sort of a bad guy.
I hope it comes on again on Showtime soon.
He does have the "I can play Pharoah look."
