Leslie Hickman (bkread2) | 233 comments I thought I would list this under my email vs name as its a bit easier to find again. In the years past I have always struggled in finding ways to read non-romance books. I tend to get bit a lost and never to find reality for a while if I don't watch it. This year started off with my dad dying. Not a good year really, so I've been a bit hard pressed with time and ability to focus. HOWEVER, I am starting to clear the fog. I thought it would be a good thing to attempt to read some of my Dad's favorite authors...and some that we both shared. SOOOOOO this year I am going to work on more Tom Clancy, Clive Cussler, Patrick O'Brian so that will be a bit more "manly" but as I got him started on them in the first place it will be fun! At the same time I am going to dive into more British History, WWII History and now Scottish & other British Isle Literature...you can blame all those podcasts I'm listening to! I do draw the line on science fiction though. Not my favorite. Well, its off to the library for me to start gathering my books! If I find any that are great I will let you know!!

OH on a side note my goal is still reading 14 non-romance novels, 3 classics, 3 other fiction and 4 non-fiction books!!

Leslie Hickman (bkread2) | 233 comments Okay so far here is the list I have managed to read so far!! By Clive Cussler,
Treasure
Shock Wave
Flood Tide
Atlantis Found
Valhalla Rising

We wont say HOW MANY books this guy wrote but my Dad was so proud that last October he managed to finish the last one! In fact to keep an easy track I formed a shelf called "Dad Project 2010" so I can figure it all out easier!

Sorry to hear about the loss of your father Leslie. I lost my dad 4 years ago so I truly sympathize.

I have been a Clive Cussler fan for about 15 years.
Raise the Titanic is an excellent book. I own several.
