ah seems like a good series, and i'm just at the beginning! excellent!!! have you tried reading the rock chick series by Kristen ashley? i absolutely adore every character in that series.

You definitely have to try her books. SHe's amazing!

Madoc is my favorite too followed closely by Iain. I can't wait for Falling Blind to be published. I hope that it is Tynan's book.

Thanks Chris, sounds intriguing!

I'm also reading 'A Discovery of Witches', as per the buddy read I'm doing. I just started it tonight, but what little I've read, I've enjoyed thus far.
I finally finished
, and I wasn't that bowled over by it. I am currently reading
, which I am liking.

I loved the Demonica series. I haven't started the LOD series, but looking forward to it.

I had an earthworm on the sill of my bedroom window. I guess the rain had blown it inside. I relocated it outside to the grass. Earthworms do a lot for the soil. I like them, if one can like earthworms...

You'll love Kiss of Snow! Hawke is just...*sighs dreamily* amazing.

He was such a racist a$$hole that having to write a review of what COULD have been a fabulous story and was instead a...bleep, bleep, bleepity bleep... hurts me in my happy place.
My happy place is a chococlate cookbook. Me and the cookbook have been made to weep because Lovecraft is a douchnozzle!

HPL was not only racist, but socially elitist as well. He writes country folks as inbred, genetically inferior idiots. Although he was antisemitic, he actually married a Jewish woman.
I know a lot of folks love him, but I find him very melodramatic. I like some of his work, but I agree with you that his racism is very hard to deal with.

Douchnozzle, that's a new one! LOL!

The Morganville series gets better and better, Duchess Nicole. It is really action-packed and fun!

I liked it! Usually the first is my least favorite, so I'll keep going with the series. Does the girl grow up any, or is she this young throughout?
Ummm, she continues to grow up, but is roughly near the same age. I think she turned 18 in the last book I read. I'm a couple books behind. She is extremely mature after a lot of things she goes through. She also gets into a very committed relationship (I won't tell you with who, but they are one of my fave couples), and that helps a lot with making her seem older.

Urg!! I hate cliffhangers!! Thanks for the heads up!

I'm from Rhode Island, though I now live in San Diego, and all through my teen years I lived 3 doors down from the house he used to live in. Let me tell you, I had to deal with more than my share of crazy from his fans. And it colored my picture of him even before I deemed to read the book.
When you have to tell people no, who ask you if you can hear the "Old Gods", because they don't get that HPL wrote FICTION, it can make you pretty anti-HPL without even reading anything he ever wrote.
He was an anti-Semite who married a Jew? That's so unbelievably schizophrenic I have no words for it. I'm not surprised he was an anti-Semite, most people were in his day and age, but most of them didn't then turn around and marry a Jewish woman.
You gave me some interesting trivia to talk about at the next gathering after syngagoue services.
Here ye, Here ye!
