Tilled the garden, and cut about half of the lawn this weekend. This is really quite early.

Magnolias, forsythia, hyacinth are all blooming. Neighbors tulips are blooming, but ours haven't yet.

Mary (madamefifi) The deadbeats (long story) who lived in our house before us planted lots of flowering shrubbery, but in inappropriate places, so that they struggle to bloom and just look skimpy. The azaleas are feeble and the lilac has only bloomed once since we moved in.

Where are you Janine? I love that purple swath against the greyness of winter.

I now have three tulips, two daffodils, and a bunch of little purple cone heads.

janine | 7709 comments how could i not have a bike? i grew up on one. i did drive one into a ditch once when i was five and had to drive home wet and covered in duckweed.

I hate it when I get covered in Duckweed!

janine | 7709 comments i have had many other encounters with ditches and duckweed, but this was the only one that involved a bicycle.
