Hey, the books I'm thinking of I read around 2004/2005. It was a series about two ladies (sisters?) who would solve mysteries. If I remember correctly, all of the titles had something to do with food, like one had chocolate in the title, and another one of the books had to do with a local parade queen. I think they lived near Venice, OH and they were new to the area.

Oh, I know those! They're by M.E. Rabb, the series is called Missing Persons, and the first one is Missing Persons #1: Rose Queen. The second one is called The Chocolate Lover.The books are about two sisters hiding out in Venice, OH, away from their stepmother, after their dad dies. There's a backstory about their mother, something mysterious happened to her in Venice years before.
