Yolonda | 406 comments Although Spring can be a lovely season...the nasty pollen always turns my car yellow (and anything else if the windows are open) and the tornado weather freaks me out.

I was having a terrible allergy day yesterday. I'm excited to whip my garden back into shape.

Yolonda | 406 comments I wish I had the talent to create a lovely garden. I definitely DO NOT have a green thumb. I even managed to kill my cactus...how pitiful is that?

I really enjoy it. It's hard work, and sad when plants die. The roses are the most rewarding.

Sharon Huxford (blackpanthershay) | 970 comments I love tulips. Plants don't last around me but someday I want a kitchen garden.

Well, some of mine die, too. I was kind of bummed about many died while I was gone. But, now I have new opportunities!

I keep saying I'll plant tulips, but I always miss the planting season (late fall).

I would love some tulips. It's so drab in the garden right now.

Daffodils are pretty. My snapdragons bloomed in the cold part of the year like it was no big deal. I keep the pot in the corner of my garage overhang. That way they don't get too much sun. It surprised me. It's an annual and it should have died, but it's still kicking. Snapdragons are very resistant to cold. They got snowed on, and they didn't even blink. I find that Texas is hard for gardening. The plants that are labeled for full sun often can't take it, and some more tropical plants can't handle the bitter cold snaps in the winter. I've learned to take the labels and gardening books with a grain of sand.

Yolonda | 406 comments Man I love Tulips. I wish I could have some in front of my house, but I live townhouse. Our homeowners associations does our yards, so all we have are the required bushes and straw (whatever that stuff is piled under the bushes).

Stacy-Deanne Stacy-Deanne (wwwgoodreadscomstacydeanne) I like Spring too but I don't care for March only because it's very windy. I don't like a lot of wind and also in March, allergies are horrible and I spend the entire month with watery, itchy eyes. I love April because I love rain and you get April showers.

Love the temperature of March but just not crazy about high winds.

I hate the winter. It's depressing to me.

I love summer too but I can't stay out in the sun a long time because I get very weak and sometimes I get headaches. I don't know how it is in other places but this Houston sun can kill you. We also average way over 100 degrees down here so it gets very hot, too hot to just be outside for no reason. It's a Catch-22. I love summer but can't enjoy it because the sun bothers me.

Best Wishes!
