Lauren (nerual452) | 2 comments I thought it might be fun if we all told the first Lois Duncan book that we read?

I started with Locked in Time. It was a well worn paper back on my literature teacher's book shelf and one day she had an auction with her students to clear out her class room and I 'won' that book with an ice coffee. I still have it and it's still my favourite.

Fiona (ehmaybelater) My (and Mimi's) first lois duncan book was "i know what you did last summer"

message 4: by Jenn (new)

Jenn | 1 comments I have no idea what my first one was. ıut I remember the day I got Don't Look Behind You. My dad and I were walking around the University of New Mexico campus and he told me he'd buy me another Lois Duncan book for running errands with him. The bookstore isn't even in that location anymore!

Sasori No Danna | 11 comments My first Lois Duncan book was Hotel for Dogs. It was a great book!

message 6: by Lois (new)

Lois Duncan | 25 comments I personallly think the two recently written sequels, NEWS FOR DOGS and MOVIE FOR DOGS, are better, because I've learned a lot since writing that first book so many years ago.

Sasori No Danna | 11 comments I thought the movie was good too!

message 8: by Lois (new)

Lois Duncan | 25 comments I agree, it was a cute movie. And I got to visit the set and watch part of the filming. In fact, I was even an extra in the dog-catcher scene.

Sasori No Danna | 11 comments WHOA cool. I liked the extra dogs and kids. But I can't imagine a couple of kids running that big of a hotel.

message 10: by Lois (new)

Lois Duncan | 25 comments They couldn't. That's why my book was much more realistic. But Hollywood doesn't want realism, they want sensational.

Sasori No Danna | 11 comments lol. I know. Did you get to meet J.T. Austin? I love that kid!

message 12: by Lois (new)

Lois Duncan | 25 comments He was adorable.

Sasori No Danna | 11 comments Wow! That's cool. He is a little cutie....so I'm guessing you got to meet the girl. I'm having a brain fart right now of what her name is but did you know both starred in TV shows.

J.T. Austin is in a show called Wizards of Waverly Place and the girl...(ugh! What was her name,...) starred in a show that is not having new episodes anymore called Unfabulous.

message 14: by Lois (new)

Lois Duncan | 25 comments The girl was Emma Roberts. Yes, we met her too. Very cute. But tiny -- not sexy, as she is shown in promo photos. And she never stopped chewing gum.

Sasori No Danna | 11 comments Wow! That's cool. Who did you like to talk to more Emma or J.T.?

message 16: by Lois (new)

Lois Duncan | 25 comments J.T. He came up to us, offered his hand in a grown-up way, and chatted a few minutes. Very polite little boy. I asked him if his sister was also involved in film work, and he solemnly said, "Not yet. She's too young to have to dal with that much discipline."

Emma said hello, shook hands, and disappeared. I think she had a scene coming up.

Sasori No Danna | 11 comments Oh. Well, J.T. looks like a very nice kids.

Lol...Naruto Rocks! (Katelyn, Haku.) | 11 comments I agree! You are so lucky! That was such a cute movie, I wish they had added Red Rover.

message 19: by Lois (new)

Lois Duncan | 25 comments I wish they had too. But I guess they were restricted to using dogs that the trainers provided. The main dog actors all had to be pure breds, so they could have understudies who looked just like them, and it's possible Irish setters may be too high strung to be easily trained. (I'm just guessing about that.) The "extras" in the crowd scenes were rescue dogs and were later adopted by members of the cast.

Sasori No Danna | 11 comments Yeah.

Lol...Naruto Rocks! (Katelyn, Haku.) | 11 comments I loved little Georgia.

message 22: by Lois (new)

Lois Duncan | 25 comments All those dog actors were extraordinary.

Sasori No Danna | 11 comments I know! They were so well trained! I could never get Monroe to do that.

Deidara And Sasori's Ultamate Fangirl | 1 comments Thank You so much for talking to my daughter. She is a big fan of you and your books. She is very intrested in being an author and has a great love of books .. and for her to be able to talk to one of her favorite authors is such a thrill for her. Thank You again for taking time out of your day for my daugther. Mindy (Kate's mom)

Lois Duncan | 25 comments I'm happy to talk to my readers in this easy way. After all, any success I've had has been due to them! When school starts again, I hope you will sugggest to Kate's teacher that he/she gets the DVD "A Visit with Lois Duncan" to use in the classroom. That video really lets students get to know an author personally.

Lol...Naruto Rocks! (Katelyn, Haku.) | 11 comments Cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
